(44) Cuddles

Lance's p.o.v:

   They were about to get up and dressed but as soon as Keith went to get off the bed he crumpled to the floor, sending Lance into immediate panic mode as he darted to the other side of the bed to see what had happened. "Keith what's wrong? Oh- ahahaha! I'm so sorry- it's not funny, I just didn't think it'd get to the point that you couldn't walk in the morning. That really scared me for a sec Kitten!" Lance said to his omega who was helplessly sitting there on the floor, he carefully scooped him up and placed Keith back onto the bed. "I'll grab you some of my clothes for now, since your actual clothes are still upstairs." Lance stated and all he got in response was a nod- which wasn't unusual considering who his mate was but he definitely wasn't used to a mute Keith. Who falls like that without making a sound? You'd figure he'd yelp at the sudden realization that his legs were refusing to work with him or something. But nope! Nothing! But then again this is the omega that is often blank faced and to be fair.. Keith was raised as an alpha.

  Lance decided to grab comfy clothes instead of actual clothes, he got out pajama shorts and a t-shirt for Keith and just sweatpants for himself. He smiled to himself once Keith had put on the shirt, knowing since the moment that he picked it out that it'd be really big on him. How cute, 'boyfriend shirts' are the best! Once they were both dressed Lance carried Keith and his notebook out to the kitchen where they ate their warmed up breakfast by themselves at the table, when they were done with their meals they joined the others who were watching a movie in the living room.

Shiro and Hunk sat on one couch and Pidge sat on the other, Lance and Keith sat with Pidge to watch the movie. He held his mate close and snuggled with him on the couch and all was right in the world until Pidge clung onto his omega, not caring that she was a pup- Keith was his cuddle buddy, not hers. "What do you think you're doing you little gremlin?" He questioned, squinting at the pup with nothing but distrust and annoyance. Who did she think she was getting all cuddly with his pregnant mate? She was the only other person in the house that knew he was pregnant and should know this is borderline asking for a fight at this point, who cares that she hasn't presented yet. Even if she turned out to be an omega herself later he'd still hold a grudge against her for this. "Me? What are you talking about? I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary am I Keith? I mean we cuddle all the time!~" Pidge stated, when Keith nodded in response Lance was almost heartbroken. Then he remembered that Keith is an omega and that looking after and caring for her- a pup is Keith's natural instinct. Cuddling isn't necessary for their relationship, god damnit Pidge you sly gremlin. Though keeping the omega/pup relationship in mind Lance still found it rather difficult to just be ok with how close they were.

He got up from the couch and detached the parasite that was Pidge from Keith's arm, holding her up as if she were a feral cat before placing the gremlin on the other couch. "Stay." He told her, as if she were literally a puppy learning the basic tricks. Hunk and Shiro gave him odd looks because they were used to Pidge and Keith's cuddly behavior at this point and this was a bit- possessive of Lance. He didn't like it either but he felt he had to do it to feel comfortable. He went back to the couch where Keith was sitting and watching him with a confused look on his face, Lance shook his head as to say 'it's nothing' before he took his spot back next to his omega. Keith wasn't even trying to be subtle with the look he was giving him, Lance just tried to play it cool and turned his attention back to the movie and hoped Keith wouldn't ask about it. Keith doesn't need to know that he was just feeling jealous. Gods he was literally jealous of a damned pup! What is this madness.

   The movie ended and the others were trying to pick out a movie, Lance watched as Keith got up and went to follow him but a wave of dizziness caught him off guard and he had to sit back down. Shiro got up and called after Keith, "Can I talk to you for a second Keith?". Lance watched from his spot on the couch and the omega nodded, He watched as they went into the kitchen and this feeling of uneasiness just wouldn't go away. Keith can't go with an alpha alone. That's h i s mate, his pregnant mate. What if Shiro does something to him?! Lance knew his thoughts were wandering off into the 'irrational' territory but he couldn't help it, his instincts were going nuts. He got up from the couch and tip toed towards the kitchen doorway, standing off to the side just enough to peek in and listen in on whatever he could of there one sided conversation. "Lance what are you doing?" Pidge whispered beside him, now making her an accomplice. He shooshed her and hoped she wouldn't blow his cover.
