Keith's p.o.v:

A little while after they had returned to their room to rest Lance had fallen asleep, he could tell the alpha was asleep because of the sound of his light snoring behind him. Keith was pretty much trapped in their spooning position due to the alpha's strong arms that were protectively wrapped around him, not that he wanted to leave or anything but he did wish he could wriggle free enough to turn and face Lance.

He worried about whether or not Lance's fever had even gone down at all and was starting to overthink anything and everything, he tried to focus on something else while he was unable to check the other's temperature. All he could focus on now was his own throat. Earlier Keith had kept using his voice even though it's current condition is quite terrible and still sounds rather broken, now his throat feels beyond just sore. He probably won't be able to speak for the rest of the day because of that. Oh well. The things we do for love. Even though Lance was obviously worried for him, he could tell earlier that his alpha had felt a little more at ease each time he heard Keith's voice.

An hour or so later into resting like that Keith woke Lance up for just long enough to position themselves differently, now Lance's head was rested on Keith's chest and the alpha's arms were still firmly wrapped around the omega. He had one arm wrapped around his alpha and started using the back of his free hand to gauge the difference in their body temperatures, resting the back of his hand against his own forehead and then Lance's. Damn, it still feels like it's quite high. Should he leave and ask the others what to do? Maybe they could help.. As if Lance could sense his thoughts about leaving the room the alpha's arms slightly tightened around his torso, then the alpha buried his face into his chest. Keith let out a sigh, he didn't know what else he could do to help when his alpha was this clingy. He thought it was sweet but in moments like this it's a little troublesome.

. . .

Keith woke up to the sound of their bedroom door being opened, he didn't open his eyes and was kind of on edge because Lance had definitely locked the door when they had entered the room earlier and it shouldn't have been able to be opened without someone inside unlocking it first. He instinctively put his own arms protectively over his alpha's head, then finally opened his eyes and looked to see who had come in. Oh thank the gods it was just Pidge. Keith curiously watched the pup as she turned on the light and walked over to the side of their bed, twirling a key ring of seemingly random keys on her finger as she did so. She looked down at the sleeping alpha that was still clinging onto Keith as if his life depended on it, then looked up at Keith who just shrugged. "Well.. whatever, here. Lance has one already and I figured that a phone would be more useful to you then those notebooks, not dissing Shiro's notebooks or anything but you can use this without having to be in the same room with the people you're communicating with." Pidge stated as she handed Keith a red phone, then started to show him how it functioned. "I already set everything up for you, your contacts, logged you into your YouTube account, and even made you an Instagram account so your fans from your YouTube channel have somewhere else to support you. You can just text us like this instead of writing." She explained, trying to be really thorough.

He opened up the text box Pidge used as a demonstration and made his first attempt at typing on his new device, 'Do you think you'd have any medicine Lance could take to help with his fever? He's been like this for a while and his condition doesn't seem to be getting any better. I tried to get up and leave but this big guy is really clingy and wouldn't let me go.' He pressed send and her phone pinged, she checked it and nodded. "Oh, he's not feeling well?" Pidge questioned, going to reach to touch the alpha's forehead but Keith gently swatted her hand away. "You too? Sheesh. You two are both way too overprotective and get jealous w a y too easily." Pidge mentioned with a laugh, seeming not at all bothered by the action in the slightest. Keith didn't even realize what he was doing when he swatted her hand away, he must've done it instinctively.. He wanted to apologize but he didn't feel like he could speak. "I'll be right back, I'm gonna go get medicine for him. Sit tight." She added as she walked out of their room. Not like He could get up anyway. Keith sent her a 'Thank you' message a moment or two after she left the room, then he set the phone aside on top of the nightstand.
