(31) Rom-Com

((This Update will be in third person just to test it out))

Lance's p.o.v:

Lance rolled over, still half asleep. His eyes were still closed as he felt around for Keith, when he realized Keith was no longer there his eyes shot open. "Keith?" Lance quietly called out. "Kitten?" He tried again. When there was no response Lance turned his attention towards the clock and silently mouthed 'oh'. Keith probably got out of bed to get food, he thought. Then he wondered how long Keith had been awake for if that was the case.

Even though Lance knew what time it was, and he wanted to be reunited with Keith, he still didn't want to get out of bed just yet. Lance begrudgingly dragged himself out of bed and made his way towards the kitchen. Lance subconsciously let out a soft relieved sigh once he saw Keith, he walked over and kissed the top of his head before sitting down beside him at the table. It took Lance a minute or two to realize his mistake, Keith was pretending to act unbothered but his face was flush. Was that too soon?... Maybe he should've kept that for a time they were just by themselves then.. Oops, he thought as he started to eat.

   Pidge winked at Lance when he glanced at her and he rolled his eyes and smiled, she really was still just a pup. "After we're done editing, we'll post the asylum video later." Hunk stated and Lance simply nodded, kind of ticked off that Hunk was still treating it as 'quality content' but knew he should just drop it. "Ah, that reminds me! Everyone loved you two on my channel, some of my fans have already started to make their ships!" Shiro exclaimed with a chuckle. "Making ships?... like by themselves?" Keith asked with the tilt of his head, clearly not understanding what Shiro meant at all. Lance thought his obliviousness was cute, but also knew it probably made the omega feel inferior to not understand so many things on earth.

"Not.. Ship- Ships... it's um.." Lance stammered, trying to find the words that would help Keith understand. "What Shiro means is his fans would like to see you two become mates, a 'ship' is just putting people you think would be cute together into a relationship in your head and hope they really will get together. Sometimes people make fanart of it- others write fanfiction, others just enjoy said fanart and fanfictions of those ships." Pidge explained casually, being the expert in the world of shipping. Keith was obviously following along up until Pidge had started going off on a tangent about all the extra things that come from ships.

Lance laughed at the lost look on Keith's face, he couldn't help it- he just looked so cute. "Shipping is like she said, Shiro's fans just want to see us become mates." Lance reassured the information was correct before going back to his meal. Lance saw Keith nod out of the corner of his eye before Keith got up and collected the empty dishes from the table and took them to the sink. If Lance was done eating he would help do the dishes, but he was the last one to come out for lunch.

"I'm going back to editing!~" Pidge announced, giving Keith a quick hug from behind before leaving the kitchen. Lance noticed Shiro was reading the comments on the new video that Lance and Keith were in, on his phone. "Besides them shipping us, what else are they saying?" Lance asked, curious as to what they think of the little omega. Shiro looked up from his phone at Lance and smiled before looking back down at the comment section. "Let's see... 'He's so pretty!', 'More videos with Keith please? 👉👈', 'Damn does Keith have a mate yet? If not sign me up!'...." Shiro stopped reading them aloud after that last one, gauging Lance's reaction. Lance wasn't pissed off, it was just a comment online. It isn't like this random guy could just appear and take Keith away. Lance knew that everyone was going to think Keith was attractive, he would question it if there was no one else out there who saw what he saw.

Shiro went back to silently reading them as Lance finished his meal. Once he was done he carried his dishes over and gently put them down in the sink, then he wrapped his arms around Keith. "I can't work like this." Keith complained, not really meaning it as he continued to wash the dishes without much of an issue. "You don't have to do the dishes Kitten, you should probably still be resting." Lance quietly replied, resting his head on top of Keith's. "Lance, I'm fine." Keith replied, not wanting to be babied when he felt relatively okay.

Lance huffed but waited patiently for Keith to finish doing the dishes, and once he was done he gently scooped the little omega up into his arms and carried him into the living room. He sat down on the couch, keeping Keith on his lap knowing full well that Keith would get embarrassed. Lance grabbed the remote with his free hand before adjusting his hold on Keith, giving him a quick peck on the cheek before clicking through a bunch of movies and ultimately just putting on a rom-com movie for them to watch. Keith seemed to relax more and more as the movie continued. "Are you comfortable? Or do you want to move?" Lance asked quietly, trying to not interrupt the movie too much.

Keith seemed to ignore him for a little, but he was actually just thinking about it. "Can I move?" Keith asked just as quietly. Lance was kind of disappointed but nodded, letting Keith go free from his embrace. His disappointment didn't last long as Keith placed a pillow down on Lance's lap and proceeded to rest his head on the pillow. Lance gently ran his fingers through Keith's hair as the movie continued, they both cringed at certain parts of the movie that were just a little too awkward and weird. But that's rom-coms for you.

The end of the movie seemed to come as quickly as it started, when in actuality it had been almost a two hour movie. Lance then noticed that the little omega whose head was resting in his lap had fallen asleep at some point, hopefully he hadn't been asleep for that long. Lance rubbed the other boy's back gently, he still felt immensely guilty about yesterday and he couldn't imagine how painful that fall was. He was just glad Keith was okay..
