Not Her

I don't know about you guys but I enjoy flashbacks and so that's basically what this chapter is. Bringing everything full circle for my own sanity and hopefully yours as well. Thanks so much for those amazing comments, I do enjoy them and will bring you more of what you love.

Brown eyes reflected back at the ones in the mirror, smooth skin and plump lips complementing them perfectly. Kat studied herself in the glass, her naked frame cooling down after a heated session just moments ago in the shower. It was the night before her wedding and she still felt that warmth that sat at the pit of her stomach. Ray walked back into the bathroom, his towel wrapped around his waist as he pulled her in, his lips kissing her cheek as he held her from behind.

"How's my best girl?" His words caused a smile to grace her face.

"Excited." Kat nodded, closing her eyes before leaning back against him. Ray's rough hands thumbed over her crossed arms before he whispered against her ear.

"Our big day is tomorrow. You sure you're ready for this?"

"Of course." Kat nodded, opening her eyes before turning around in his arms. "I can't believe the day is already here."

"Well believe it my love." With a gentle kiss, Ray left Kat to get herself dressed. They were prepping for the rehearsal dinner and after that, neither would see the other until their vows. Kat quickly dressed herself in a long black dress, a slit running up her left thigh before she walked into the room. Her bare feet slapped against the cool floor as Ray turned around.

"Damn." He smiled.

"Take a good look, because after we're married I'm only going to be dressing up in sweats and a t-shirt." The woman smirked, her dimples breaking through her smile as Ray buttoned up his vest. They were dressing up for the evening, their friends and family soon to join in the great hall. Although things were going well at the moment, Kat had small nerves that tried to grow. As anyone else in the world would call them, she was getting cold feet.

"So do you have your vows all set and ready?" The man rose his eyebrow.

"Do you?" Kat questioned. "I know how you tend to leave things until the last minute."

"I wrote them." He answered truthfully as Kat paced over towards the bed, grabbing her heels before strapping them on. Ray watched her, wishing he could just strip her down once more and have his way again. But they would be late if they stayed within the bedroom any longer. "Babe, I'll go down to make sure everything is set up. Meet me there in twenty?" Ray questioned.

"Yeah." Kat smiled back, nodding at his request before he paced over and kissed her on the top of her head.

"I can't wait to marry you."

"Me too." The newly brunette brushed her fingers through her hair just before finding the strands a bit damp. She groaned, watching the man leave before walking back into the bathroom to blow dry her hair. The device wouldn't even turn on. "Really?" Kat groaned, trying a different outlet, her heart picking up as she slowly drifted into thinking about the next day. She wondered what if her hair stylist had a blow dryer that didn't work, and what if her flat iron all of a sudden went out. Her heart slowly began to drum in her chest before she stood and walked out into the room. Kat knew she was being irrational, but it wasn't helping. After a few seconds of pondering about what to do with her hair, she walked out into the hall and strolled down to the closest room. Her knuckles hit the door a few times before it opened.

"Hey." Dom smiled up as Kat stood before the woman confused.

"Come on in." Melanie called from behind the smaller brunette.
