You Can't Do This

This is over a week overdue but the constant deleting of this chapter just pulled me out of the story. At least it's lasting longer than expected haha. Also, vote for Kat for the CSAs. Enjoy.

Dom was cold. She sat inward in the redhead's lap, remembering just how chilly she kept the place. Her body was spent. The two had been at it for hours with no other care in the world. Kat thumbed her back, gazing up into those soft hazel eyes as her chest swelled from happiness. The brunette shivered once more, small bumps caressing her skin as Kat pulled a blanket over Dom's shoulders and draped it over her.

"You're cold huh baby?" The redhead smiled, her head tilting to the side.

"A little." Dom brought her fingers against the new bruise on the redhead's skin, tracing her finger over her work as Kat took in a breath. She could still feel the sting that came from such an action. Neither woman knew of the time, each of them just taking in the moments they were with the other. In the back of Dom's mind she remembered that Ray would arrive today. He would be here soon and she didn't know of what outcome to expect.

'What is it?' Kat could see the distress in the brunette's eyes. She thumbed her waist as Dom leaned forward, her arms draping over the taller woman's shoulders. Their lips but inches apart as a soft smile left the brunette's lips.

'I just love you that's all.'

'....What's wrong?' It was second nature at this point for the older woman to catch onto the way the brunette's brow furrowed.

'Nothing.' Dom shook her head, her finger gently stroking Kat's bare shoulder as she gave the woman a peck. She trailed her lips against Kat's chin, slowly allowing her mouth to roam the woman's face before the redhead's firm fingers held onto her bare waist.

'Dom.'

'Kat.' A smile followed the woman's name. Her eyes just as playful as ever as Kat sighed, taking that the brunette didn't want to upset her at the moment. Just before either woman could enjoy their embrace any longer, before she could dive into the soft touch of the smaller woman against her, they both heard it. A knock came to the front door downstairs as Dom bucked her hips against Kat's center in surprise. With an inhaled breath, Kat turned around the space to seek the time as another knock, more rapid then the last hit the frame downstairs.

'It can't be Ray.' The redhead turned to and fro as she lifted the brunette and gently placed her to her side. Dom tugged the sheets tight around her body, her skin warming from the fabric as Kat stood naked on the floor. She rushed towards the bedroom door, listening for any rustling that would indicate the man had arrived. Another rapid knock and Kat quickly began to pull her clothes on.

'Is it him already?'

'Baby we've been so caught up in one another for hours it could be four o'clock.' Kat searched for her underwear, tugging up her jeans after. Dom watched as the woman covered her toned legs, brushing her fingers through her now shoulder length hair. 'Fuck.' Kat hissed, bumping into her dresser as she pulled her shirt on. She rounded the corner quickly before looking back at her bed. Dom was sitting upright, bundled up tightly in her bed sheets with her bottom lip pressed under her teeth. 'Get dressed baby, okay?'

'You think Ray would be mad if I came downstairs like this?' Dom chuckled to herself as Kat tilted her head.

'Dom, please get dressed.' With one more glance the redhead flew down the steps, her bare feet slapping the hardwood as she flung open the front door. To her surprise, her husband wasn't the first to greet her. Bernie had leapt up against her legs, circling the woman as he whimpered over and over again. Kat stepped back into the apartment before dropping to her knees to embrace her pup. 'Hi Bern.' Her fingers threaded through his fur as Ray made his way inside, a suitcase being tugged right along with him. The whimpers of the dog kept Kat occupied for a bit before she lifted the pup into her arms and stood.
