The sky must have been angry when lunch time rolled around. Kat stood in her trailer, finally dressed and ready to film only to be stopped by the massive thundering and lighting happening outside. She pushed her lips together in thought, her eyes studying the newly darkened sky before she shoved her phone in her officer pants pocket. Her black umbrella sat at the base of the steps. She pulled it into her hands, shaking it out before heading over to set.

She was waiting on Ray's phone call. She was giving him his space but at the same time she knew it was her fault for causing this new strain between them. How much space did he truly need when it was all her fault? Kat didn't want to admit it to herself but she felt the anxious nerves knotting in her belly whenever her thoughts went to her husband. She knew Dom had something planned and although she was exhausted from the lack of sleep, she would play along as promised.

"Hey Haught." Melanie had found her, this time, walking towards the edge of set and gazing out into the downpour as Kat met her inside.

            "Hey."

"So I spoke to Dom. I said I was going to apologize and I did. She forgave me because she's such a good in this world, but she's still a bit standoffish with me."

            "Why?"

"I don't know." The older brunette shrugged. "Well I know it's because I hurt her feelings but at least it was me and not someone else. I speak my mind, it's what you all love about me. So, did you call Ray?"

            "Yeah."

            "Did he say anything?"

"He kept sending me straight to voicemail. Either that or his phone is off which is highly unlikely." Kat took a deep breath, her eyes searching the set as crew members rushed around with props. "I should probably get something to eat."

"Don't. Dom wants you to meet her on the barn set." Melanie said knowingly. "I didn't ask. I just told her I would relay the message, and so I did."

"Thanks." Kat made her way in her cop uniform across the set builds on the soundstage. She tried to clear her mind but it wandered back to Ray every chance it could get. This was definitely regret that she was feeling and she knew it very well. It began to ooze through her bloodstream like a toxin, tightening against her chest as she took deep breaths. Just before she could find herself falling into a quiet despair, two hazel eyes peeked out at her from the front of the barn set.

The brunette was silent, waving at Kat to come inside of the soundstage before she disappeared herself. Without question she tried to follow Dom's footsteps, uncertain of the type of things they would be getting into. But to Kat's surprise, she saw something completely different then what she had expected. And knowing the brunette's tastes these past couple of weeks, she may or may not have envisioned something highly sexual.

"So before you say anything..." Dom took a breath, her fingers clasped behind her back. "I wanted to do something nice for you. I was meditating earlier and then Melanie came to see me and..."

"You made a picnic?" Kat could feel the upturn smile on her face. Her eyes flickering over the dark blue blanket spread out against the hay. There were two plates sitting in the center of fruit bowls and catered sandwiches from the cast table lining the small tray. There was but a single candle in the middle of the floor as the redhead gazed up.

"I know it looks romantic and all but it's not. I just wanted to add the candle for the whole atmosphere effect." Dom held back the blush which warmed her cheeks. Knowing the redhead was bound to roll her eyes at the 'not romantic' atmosphere.
