Kiyoko Aizawa's pov

Midnight and I entered the mall, I watched as people bustled around on multiple floors. Everyone went in every direction yet somehow very few people ran into each other. Everyone intricately danced around each other, leading some and avoiding others. Midnight pulled me into a large store. I immediately saw the same shirt I had on on one of the mannequins. She and I began to look around.

"What about this?" She asked, pulling out a light blue long sleeved shirt with an orchid print running along the sleeve and the back. I smiled.

"That's really cute. Do you think it would go nice with these?" I asked, pulling out gray jeans. She gave me a thumbs up. She looked around the store and her eyes lit up. She sprinted from one section of the store to the other. I stood and place and watched her until she ran back. She held out an assortment of clothing items for me to look at. I laid out the clothes she gave me. Black ripped jeans, a light gray tank top, a denim jacket, a white cherry blossom enamel pin, and an assortment of silver jewelry. I look at the outfit and laugh a little.

"This is really, really, pretty," I said excitedly. We tossed it all in the heaping piles of clothes we had picked out. We had a stockpile of autumn and winter clothing. We took our haul to the counter to a cashier. His eyes widened at the amount we had with us.

"Uh, did you find everything alright?" He asked hesitantly. I nodded and he began to ring up our items.

We decided to take the bags back to Midnight's car and then go back.

"Alright next, we need things like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, hair brush, hair ties, and stuff." I told midnight. We walked into a store filled with clashing scents. I ran around opening every 'try me' bottle. I opened up a coconut lavender and sniffed it. I smiled and tossed it into the basket I had. I went to pick up the basket when I felt someone grab me from behind.

No, I just got free. I can't possibly go back to that hell. I finally felt happy for the first time in years.

I felt my vision become slightly hazy, the sounds around me were muffled. I could only focus on the touch behind me and nothing else.

I turned around and grabbed them by the wrist. I spun their arm and held their elbow down and twisted their wrist. I squeezed their wrist rendering them unable to move. I started breathing heavily.

"Kiyoko!" I heard Midnight yell, snapping me out of my tunnel vision. I looked at the person I have pinned. This obviously isn't a villain. I let go and took a step back. I looked around to see everyone staring at me, some confused, some horrified.

"I...I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to I-I-I just panicked and I didn't realize-"

"Hey," The girl said. She turned to face me "It's ok. It was instinct, I get it." She had purple hair much deeper than mine and charcoal black eyes. She had headphone jacks connected to her ears and slightly uneven bangs. She was shorter than me, me being 167 cm. She continued to smile back.

"I'm sorry," I repeated. Her smile didn't fade.

"Don't worry about it. Also, I like your style," she said, gesturing to my clothes.

"Oh, thank you, Mid- uh my friend helped. I like yours too," I replied rubbing my neck a little.

"You got social media?" She asked. I nodded my head. "You seem cool, what's your user?"

We exchanged social media and talked for a little bit. After about 5 minutes I excused myself from the conversation and went back to Midnight.

"That was surprising," Midnight said. I looked at the ground.
