Edmund shifted slightly against the ropes binding him to the tree, letting out a small groan as the bark dug into the lashes on his back.
He'd been tied to this tree for what felt like hours, and half the time he hadn't been alone, Ginnabrik was getting far to much joy out of mocking and tormenting him.
Sighing to himself he let his head fall back against the trunk, only for it to snap back up again when he heard footsteps approaching.
Edmund took a deep breath as he saw the white witch stop in front of him, staring at him with something of a smile on her face.
"Comfortable?" She asked, placing a hand on her hip, her other hand tightly gripping her wand.
Edmund just stared at her, unable to say anything, but he did manage to scowl at her, which he immediately regreted.
He gasped when she kicked him hard on the shin before kneeling down in front of him, a scowl now on her face.
"I wouldn't look at me like that if I were you." She spat to Edmund, who'd squeezed his eyes shut against the pain. "Otherwise you won't like what will follow."
Edmund took a deep breath before opening his eyes again, only to see Ginnabrik walking over... with a cup.
Edmund's eyes went wide as he looked back up at the witch, slowly shaking his head.
The witch laughed slightly. "It just needs a little top up." She said, grabbing the cup from the dwarf as soon as he was in reaching distance.
Ginnabrik, without a word, stepped forward and untied the gag in Edmund's mouth.
Edmund couldn't help but feel slightly relieved at this, and let out a quiet sigh, licking his lips even though he flinched slightly.
Jadis placed her wand on the floor beside her before grabbing Edmund's hair and yanking his head up.
Edmund reacted immediately and clamped his mouth shut, eyes wide in fear.
"You listen to me and you listen to me good." Jadis whispered. "If you do not drink this then I will go marching into Aslan's camp right now and kill your siblings."
Edmund's eyes went even wider as his heart skipped a beat.
"I know where they are now Edmund." The witch said, a smirk on her face. "I know where Aslan's camp is. So, are you gonna drink it?"
Edmund swallowed hard before taking a deep breath. As slowly as he possibly could he opened his mouth, trembling... and hard.
Jadis smirked at him and placed the rim of the cup to his lips. "This time I'm not gonna force you." She said. "You're gonna drink it yourself, and if you don't, I'll kill your family."
Edmund swallowed hard, but when Jadis  tipped the cup slightly, he did as she had said.
The second the liquid touched his tongue he wanted to gag, but he forced it down, squeezing his eyes shut until it was gone.
He gasped sharply as Jadis threw the cup to the floor, the liquid once again burning his throat.
"Now that wasn't hard." Jadis laughed, finaly letting go of Edmund's hair.
Edmund felt like he was gonna throw up, but the closest he got was gagging slightly.
"Oh you won't be able to throw it back up." The witch laughed. "I made sure of that when I made it."
Edmund took a shaky breath, coughing slightly.
"I'll be back if I get bored." The witch laughed before standing and walking away, Ginnabrik, after gagging Edmund again, hurrying after her.

Edmund's eyes snapped open as he let out a loud gasp, immediately groaning in pain. He lay there for a moment, realising after a while that he was in his bed and Cair Paravel, not tied to a tree in Jadis' camp.
"Ed?"
Edmund jumped harshly and sat bolt upright, hitting his head hard on something. He gasped in pain, hand flying to his forehead as his eyes squeezed shut.
"Edmund it's only me. It's Peter."
Edmund's eyes flew open to see his brother, sat beside him on the edge of the bed. He was also rubbing his forehead, and Edmund realised he must've banged heads with his brother.
"Pe-" But that was all he managed to say, his throat hurt so, so much. He swallowed hard, shaking his head slowly before lying back down.
"Ed you okay?" Peter asked quickly, the worry evident in his voice.
Edmund glanced over at him and instead of speaking just pointed at his neck.
The look on his face told Peter all he needed to know, and he immediately poured Edmund a glass of water (which Susan had also brought up along with the bucket earlier).
"Here." He mumbled, wrapping an arm around Edmund's back and helping him to sit up.
Edmund's head fell against Peter's shoulder as Peter brought the cup to his lips. He slowly managed to take a few sips but after that shook his head, moving his head to the side.
Peter sighed but placed the cup on the bedside table. "Did you have a dream?" He asked hesitantly after a while.
Edmund nodded slowly.
"What about?" Peter whispered. "If you can tell me." He added quickly.
Edmund swallowed hard. "She-" He winced at the pain but was determined to tell Peter that the witch had given him the drink again. "She gave me - me it again." He gasped, wrapping his hand lightly around his neck.
Peter frowned, eyes full of fear. "The drink?" He asked.
Edmund nodded.
"She - She gave you the poison twice?" Peter choked.
Edmund nodded again. "I - I forgot until - until now." He said, his voice barely audible.
"Okay." Peter whispered. "No more talking."
Edmund shook his head. "When I - I drank it, it burnt - burnt my throat." He forced out.
Peter took a deep breath. "Okay." He choked. "Now shh, please Ed."
But Edmund didn't seem to hear him. "I drank it - the second time." He whispered. "She - she said she'd kill you if - if I didn't. It - It hurt, It really - hurt. I - I wanted to throw up - but she said I - I wouldn't be able to - to do that-"
"Ed come on please." Peter mumbled. "Stop talking."
Edmund in the end nodded and fell silent, collapsing against Peter.
Peter swallowed hard. "Do you reckon I should ask if drinking it twice will make a difference?" He mumbled.
Edmund quickly nodded. "Please." He choked, but that just about did it.
He let out a harsh cough, followed by a few more until he couldn't stop.
Peter's eyes filled with tears as he held his brother close, cringing at the coughs escaping him as he whispered into his ear.
This had to stop. It had to.
