Peter cried out in frustration as he struggled against the rope, his heart pounding in his chest.
He had to get free, this was wasting valuable time!
Sighing to himself he managed to calm himself down enough to think straight.
Glancing around he tried to find something that he could maybe cut the ropes with, and soon saw a rather sharp rock, the only problem being... it was rather far away.
Shaking his head quickly he reached out as far as he could, hissing in pain when the rope eventually cut through the sleeves of his tunic and rubbed against bare skin, but even then he didn't stop.
It took a long while and alot of struggling, but eventually his fingers wrapped around the rock, causing Peter to let out a relived sigh.
Managing to twist around slightly he proceeded in cutting through the ropes, which after ten minutes came loose with a loud snap.
Peter leant forward, immediately bringing his hands to his arms, feeling the skin rubbed raw from pulling against the ropes so hard.
Flinching slightly he swallowed hard and stood, glancing around before running in the direction he was pretty sure he'd come.
He ran for ages, not stopping to catch his breath, until he collided with something, sending him flying to the floor.
"Your majesty!"
Peter's eyes shot open to find Philip stood in front of him, his sword in his mouth. "Philip." He breathed, not even noticing how his nose was bleeding.
"What happened?" Philip asked quickly after dropping the sword in front of Peter. "I woke up and you were gone!"
"Spot of trouble with a hag." Peter muttered, reaching up to cover his nose with his hand.
"Sorry about that." Philip said. "I should've been looking where I was going."
Peter shook his head. "It's my fault." He said, reaching into a bag on Philip's saddle and grabbing a handkerchief. "I wasn't looking where I was going."
"Sir, your arms!" Philip suddenly explained, seeing the red raw skin peeking through the wholes in his tunic sleeves.
Peter sighed. "The hag tied me to a tree." He explained, moping up his nose as best he could. "I guess I struggled so much to get away that the ropes wore through my tunic."
Philip nodded slowly.
"We need to continue." Peter said as he stood, grabbing his sword and sheathing it. "We've lost over an hour already."
Philip sighed slightly. "I should've woken up." He mumbled.
Peter shook his head. "Philip it's fine." He said. "It's in the past."
Philip nodded slowly. "Alright." He said quietly.
Peter gave him a reassuring smile. "Come on then." He sighed, and them the two continued their journey.☆☆☆
Susan sighed as she entered her brothers room mid morning, after attending another emergency meeting called by Orious.
She spotted Lucy sat on Edmund's bed beside her brother, who was sat up against the pillows, eyes half open and staring into space.
Both looked up when Susan entered, Lucy giving her sister a questioning look.
Susan sighed as she walked over and sat on the other side of Edmund, placing a hand gently on his shoulder. "They're getting closer." She mumbled. "I think we know now that the witches followers are coming here."
Edmund took a deep breath at hearing this, pulling the blanket up around his neck.
Lucy's face fell. "What are we going to do?" She asked.
"Well, Orious is setting up guard around the whole castle, thinking that he can maybe stop them from getting in." Susan said slowly.
"And if they do get in?" Lucy asked.
Susan sighed. "I don't know." She said. "Orious suggested hiding somewhere where they'd never suspect."
"Like?" Lucy questioned, frowning slightly.
Susan shrugged. "He said, deep in the castle there's a few dungeons, for obvious reasons." She said. "He said hiding there might be our only chance, they'd never think to check there."
Lucy nodded slowly. "But what if they do check there?" She asked hesitantly.
Susan sighed. "I know it's a long shot that this would actually work," she said slowly. "But he said that if they were to come down to the dungeons, we'd have to do something like play dead-" Here she shrugged. "They'd leave if they knew we were dead."
"But who would've killed us?" Lucy asked, raising an eyebrow just slightly.
"Another of the witches followers I guess." Susan mumbled. "There's a hundred of them, they aren't all gonna be able to get down to the dungeons at the same time."
Lucy nodded slowly. "Is that the only thing you could think of?" She asked.
Susan signed. "Orious did suggest leaving the castle completely." She said. "But there's no way we could, not with Ed in this state."
Lucy sighed and glanced down at her brother, who was staring at the door, eyes wide as he trembled. "Ed?" She asked.
Edmund swallowed hard. "No - Not the dungeons." He choked out, shaking his head slightly. "Any - Anywhere but there."
Susan sighed, understanding completely. "Ed it's probably the only place they won't think to look, most people don't even know Cair has dungeons." Sighing slightly she wrapped her arms around Edmund. "It's not her dungeons Ed, it's not made of ice. No shackles, the door won't even be locked. I promise."
Edmund let out a shuddering breath as he buried his face against Susan's shoulder, tears now rolling down his cheeks.
"And if we don't they'll find us Ed." Susan mumbled. "Orious said they'd kill us without a second thought."
Edmund swallowed hard, but eventually nodded. "O - Okay." He whispered.
Susan smiled sadly. "But they might not even get into the castle alright?" She said slowly.
Edmund sighed. "Yeah." He breathed.
Lucy bit her lip. "What happens if we're forced the leave the castle?" She asked.
Susan looked up at her slowly. "Then we'll be fine okay?" She said firmly.
Lucy hesitantly nodded. "Okay." She whispered.
"I - I hope they don't get - into the castle." Edmund choked... before breaking down into another harsh coughing fit.☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆
