Edmund took a deep breath as he leant back against Peter, wiping his mouth on a handkerchief he gave him.
"Alright?" Peter asked warily, his arm wrapping itself around Edmund's shoulders.
Edmund just shrugged, not saying anything in reply to his brother, which made Peter even more worried.
"Let's get you back into bed." He said slowly.
Edmund did nothing at all as Peter lifted him to his feet and walked him back into their room, pushing him gently into bed and pulling the covers tightly over him.
Edmund stared at him as he sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for him to ask the question that he was bound to ask.
Peter sighed. "Ed, what happened?" He said slowly.
Edmund swallowed hard. "She - She made me-" He could of shouted in joy when there was a knock at the door.
But Peter could've shouted in frustration, but instead forced a smile onto his face. "Come in." He sighed.
Susan and Lucy then stepped into the room, Susan holding a glass of water.
"I brought water." She said slowly, frowning slightly at her brothers.
"Thanks." Peter mumbled.
Susan nodded slowly and placed the water on the bedside table, and no sooner had she done that did Peter grab her gently by the arm and walk her over to the corner of the room.
Susan frowned slightly and caught the look on Edmund's face, a look of worry.
What was going on?
"What's wrong?" She asked in a whisper as the two turned with their backs to their younger siblings.
Peter sighed. "He threw up." He whispered back.
Susan looked rather alarmed at hearing this and took a deep breath. "Maybe he's just fallen ill or something?" She suggested.
Peter shook his head. "He said something happened when he was with the witch." He said slowly.
Susan's frown got deeper. "What?" She asked.
"I don't know." Peter sighed. "He's was about to tell me, but then he threw up so-" He trailed off, sighing heavily.
Susan stared at him for a moment. "How about I go in find a healer?" Susan suggested. "They might be able to find out what's wrong with him?"
Peter nodded. "I think that would probably be best." He said.
Susan nodded back. "See you in a minute." She whispered before walking across the room and leaving.
Peter turned back to his siblings and walked over, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Where's Susan going?" Lucy asked, a frown on her face.
"She's gone to find a healer." Peter said, more to Edmund than to Lucy.
Edmund looked a little alarmed at this but hid it, instead nodding his head.
"Ed?" Peter asked slowly. "Do you think you can tell me what happened with the witch?"
Lucy frowned at this but didn't say anything, instead just moving her stare to Edmund.
Edmund sighed. "It was in her dungeons." He mumbled, waiting for his siblings reaction.
And sure enough he wasn't disappointed. Peter's eyes went maybe a little too wide, and Lucy was unable to hide the small gasp that escaped her mouth.
"D - dungeons?" Peter choked.
Edmund nodded slowly. "She - She came down and said 'Let's see if we can get this information out of you'-" He stopped, visibly cringing as the witches words echoed in his head.
Peter swallowed hard. "The information about where we were going?" He guessed.
Edmund nodded. "The - The first time I said I didn't know she - she hit me hard across the face-" He stopped when he heard Peter take a deep breath, and looking over at him saw an look of anger and sadness on his face, but he quickly looked away again. "But - But the second time I said I didn't know where you were-"
"But you did know where we were." Lucy suddenly said.
Edmund sighed. "I said to myself that I wouldn't tell her." He choked. "Anyway, the second time I said I didn't know, she grabbed something from Ginnabrik, you know that dwarf?"
Peter nodded slowly.
"It - it was a cup with this like almost brown liquid in it." Edmund said slowly, remembering. "She forced it down my throat... forced me to drink it."
Peter's heart started to pound in his chest as he listened to his brother.
"She said that in exactly two weeks I'm gonna retret not telling her." Edmund finished.
Peter was about to say something when Susan walked back into the room, an elderly faun walking behind her.
"Let's see what's wrong then shall we." She said, walking over and standing by the edge of the bed, Peter moving up to sit by Edmund's head to give her room.
The next ten minutes the fauns spent checking Edmund over, getting alot of worried frowns from all of them.
"We should probably tell you-" Peter said after ten minutes. "That um - The witch forced him to - to drink something."
Here the faun looked up at him and frowned. "May I ask what she made him drink?" She asked.
Peter hesitated and glanced down at Edmund.
Edmund sighed. "It was horrible." He choked. "I've never tasted anything so disgusting in my life. It was like a brown colour, thick, horrible."
The faun frowned slightly to herself before nodding. "I'll be right back." She said before hurriedly leaving the room.
Peter sighed and placed a hand gently on the top of Edmund's head.
Lucy absent mindedley chewed her nails as she sat there, not taking her eyes off the door until the faun came back.
She had a book in her hand as she walked back over to the bed, and was quickly flicking through pages.
Peter couldn't quite see the title of the book, and this made him worry to say the least.
"Ah ha." The faun said suddenly. "Did the drink look anything like this?"
Edmund stared as she turned the book around, only for him to see exactly the same drink he'd drunk drawn carefully on the page. "That's it." He choked. "That's the drink."
The faun sighed sadly as she closed the book, clutching it to her chest as she looked up at Peter.
"What's wrong?" Peter asked quickly, getting really worried.
"Majesty." The faun sighed. "I'm afraid your brother had been poisoned."
