They'll both be fine

"Shouldn't he be awake by now?" Lucy asked worridley as Peter lay Edmund gently on his bed, pulling the covers around him.
They'd been travelling all day and had only just reached Cair, as the sun was setting.
Peter let out a few coughs before sighing and sitting on the bed beside his brother. "He'll wake soon." He whispered. "Hopefully."
"He'll be alright Peter." Susan said gently as she placed the apple on the bedside table. "I promise."
Peter nodded before sneezing loudly, letting out a small groan afterwards.
Susan glanced at Lucy before looking back to her older brother. "Pete?" She asked.
Peter sniffed and looked up at her, finaly taking his eyes off Edmund. "Yeah?" He asked, his voice quiet, and it was extremely clear that he was developing a cold.
Susan sighed. "Into bed." She ordered gently.
Peter stared at her. "Why?!" He exclaimed after a while.
"You're not well Peter." Susan sighed.
"I'm fine!" Peter insisted, only to let out a few more coughs followed by another sneeze.
"Bed." Susan said as firmly as she could.
Peter sighed and glanced worriedly at Edmund.
"Peter he isn't going to go anywhere!" Susan exclaimed. "Get changed and into bed!"
Peter sighed. "Fine." He muttered and stood from the bed, grabbing his pyjamas and heading for the bathroom. A couple minutes later he walked back into the room, letting out a harsh cough before walking across the room and climbing into his own bed.
Susan followed him - Lucy staying with Edmund - and placed a hand to his forehead.
Peter smacked her away. "I'm fine!" He insisted again.
"Course." Susan said sarcastically. "Because it's normal for your temperature to be that high."
Peter rolled his eyes but said nothing.
"I'll be back in a minute." Susan mumbled before heading to the bathroom. "And dont move from that bed!" She called over her shoulder.
Peter waited for a few seconds before clambering out of the bed, flinching as he ran back over to Edmund.
"Peter." Lucy said hesitantly.
"Shh." Peter said quickly, sitting beside Edmund and beginning to gently play with his hair.
"Susan's not going to be very happy." Lucy muttered but didn't say anything else.
Peter sneezed again, coughing slightly before sighing. "Come on Ed." He whispered. "Wake up. Just - Just open your eyes. Please." He turned to Lucy after a moment. "How long does he have left?" He asked.
Lucy frowned for a moment. "Either tomorrow or the next day." She said slowly. "I haven't exactly been keeping count of the days."
Peter nodded slowly before turning back to Edmund. "Come on." He whispered.
"Peter Pevensie!"
Peter's head snapped up and he bit his lip when he saw Susan, standing there with a bowl of water and a cloth in her hand.
"I told you not to get out of bed!" Susan sighed. "You're clearly not well!"
Peter grumbled something under his breath but climbed back into his own bed.
After Susan had managed to place a cold flannel on Peter's forehead she turned to Lucy. "Me and Lu are gonna find you something to eat, you look half starved." She told Peter.
Peter nodded.
"And stay in bed." Susan added as her and Lucy left.
Peter once again waited before removing the cloth, sliding out of bed, walking across the room, and climbing under the covers next to Edmund... Susan never said which bed.
After a few more coughs and another sneeze he settled down next to his brother, wrapping an arm around Edmund's shoulders and pulling him close.
Edmund's head fell against his brothers chest, not making a single movement.
Peter sighed and placed a kiss to the top of his head, shivering slightly even though he could feel himself sweating - Susan was right, he definitely had come down with something.
After a short while he felt his eyes slowly begin to droop, and before he knew it he was fast asleep, Edmund held tightly in his arms.

"You know Peter won't stay in his bed right?" Lucy said with a smirk as they headed back up to the boys room, a bowl of soup in Susan's hand and a glass of water in Lucy's.
Susan rolled her eyes, but she was smiling. "Yeah, I know." She sighed. "We'll go in there and he'll be in Edmund's bed."
Lucy giggled slightly as they reached the door, quietly pushing it open.
Stepping inside Susan sighed slightly, seeing Peter in Edmund's bed, Edmund wrapped tightly in his arm and both of them fast asleep.
Lucy laughed a little and glanced up at Susan, who just playfully rolled her eyes.
"Are we gonna wake him?" Lucy asked.
Susan hesitated. "No." She said eventually. "He's not well, let him sleep."
Lucy nodded. "I hope they'll be okay." She said after a moment of silence.
Susan smiled and placed a hand gently on her shoulder. "They'll both be fine."

Peter woke with a groan, immediately having to let out a few coughs to clear his throat. He was absolutely boiling!
But looking over saw that the window was wide open and then that Edmund had an extra blanket - but was also shivering in his sleep.
Peter sighed. Susan and Lucy.
When Edmund continued to shiver Peter carefully climbed out of bed. Getting over a dizzy spell he walked across the room and shut the window - it didn't matter how hot he was, Edmund was absolutely freezing.
Glancing at the clock he saw that it was 5am, and groaned and having woken so early.
Sighing to himself he headed back over to Edmund's bed, sitting on the edge for a moment and just watching him.
He sat there for Aslan knows how long, ignoring the sick feeling in his stomach and just watching his brother, until, that is, Edmund coughed.
Peter's eyes went wide as Edmund's eyes began to open. He coughed a few more times before laying there and staring up at the ceiling.
Edmund was awake.
