No sooner had Edmund relaxed, did Peter collapse against the headboard, taking deep breaths as his eyes closed tightly.
"Pete you alright?" Susan asked, worry in his voice.
"I'm - fine." Peter breathed, sounding slightly out of breath as he nodded his head.
Edmund managed to slowly open his eyes and glance up at his brother, a questioning look in his eyes.
Peter, after feeling Edmund shift slightly in his arms, opened his eyes and glanced down at him, sighing slightly at the worry in his eyes. "I'm alright Ed." He nodded. "Really."
Edmund swallowed hard, resting his head back against Peter's chest. "You're - not well." He choked, his voice still rather raspy.
Peter sighed. "It's just a cold." He said slowly, squeezing Edmund's shoulder.
Susan gave Peter an unimpressed look, shaking her head back and forth. "No it's not Peter." She sighed, and after a sigh from her older brother said: "Edmund's gonna find out sooner or later!"
Peter swallowed hard, sighing a little and leaning back against the pillows.
"Peter?" Lucy asked after a while of silence.
All three of them looked up at their brother, before he pushed Edmund gently aside, got out of the bed and dashed to the bathroom.
Edmund groaned slightly as he banged his head on the headboard, but immediately tried to get out of bed.
"Ed what are you doing?!" Susan exclaimed.
"Going to see - see what's wrong with Peter." Edmund barely whispered.
"I don't think so." Susan said, pushing him gently back to lay down. "Lu stay here." She said before dashing into the bathroom to find Peter.
Edmund sighed and turned his head to face the now closed door, worry in his eyes.
"He'll be fine Ed." Lucy mumbled.
Edmund sighed. "If - If he didn't go he wouldn't be ill." He choked.
"You don't know that." Lucy sighed.
Edmund swallowed hard before turning to Lucy and holding up his arms.
Lucy immediately lay beside Edmund, wrapping an arm around his waist and resting his head lightly against his shoulder.
Edmund's arms wrapped around her shoulders as he took a deep breath. "I believe thanks are in order." He whispered, his throat still extremely sore.
Lucy frowned. "For what?" She asked, glancing up at him.
Edmund smiled. "Just for looking after me." He said with a small shrug. "I doubt it was easy."
Lucy smiled a little before burying her face against Edmund's chest. "Love you." She whispered.
Edmund smiled. "I love you too Lucy." He mumbled.
They both looked up when the bathroom door opened again and Susan walked out, followed by a rather tired looking Peter.
Susan didn't say a word but just led Peter to his own bed and forced him gently under the covers.
Peter didn't even protest and just rested his head against the pillows, his eyes slipping shut within seconds.
Susan sighed and turned back to Edmund and Lucy, walking over and sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Is he alright?" Lucy asked, beating Edmund to it. "What happened?"
Susan sighed. "He threw up." She explained. "He's really not well."
Edmund swallowed hard, tears in his eyes as he glanced over at a now fast asleep Peter.
"But he'll be fine." Susan said quickly at the look on his face. "I promise."
Edmund sighed but turned back to Susan, nodding his head slightly.
"But you're both staying in bed until you're one hundred percent better." Susan added.
Edmund groaned.
"No Ed." Susan said, raising an eyebrow. "I mean it. And anyway, Peter would practically kill me if I let you out of bed!"
Edmund stared at her. "I suppose." He whispered, managing a small smirk.
"Now I know it's not even six o'clock yet, but I'm gonna go and fetch you some breakfast." Susan said as she stood from the bed. "You're way too thin for my liking."
Edmund sighed but didn't say anything in protest.
"I'll come too." Lucy said, hoping from the bed.
"You'll be alright?" Susan asked Edmund as the two headed for the door.
"Yeah." Edmund choked, nodding.
Susan nodded back. "Alright, see you in a minute." And with that they were gone.
Edmund sighed and immediately glanced at Peter, who was still fast asleep, his breathing heavy and mouth slightly open.
Swallowing hard Edmund removed the blankets that were on him and swung his legs over the side of the bed, hesitating before he stood.
He had to quickly grab hold of the bedside table before he fell, but after gaining his balance he walked around the other side of Peter's bed and climbed in.
As quietly and carefully as he could, he curled against Peter's side, pulling the blanket up tightly around his neck before, unintentionally, falling asleep.

Edmund sighed slightly as his eyes flickered open, and immediately became aware of an arm around his shoulders.
Looking up a little he found Peter, still asleep but somehow wrapped around him.
Smiling a little Edmund glanced around the room and at the clock, seeing that it was eleven o'clock.
He hadn't meant to fall asleep for that long, he hadn't meant to fall asleep at all, and looking over at the bedside table saw a plate of toast... Susan obviously hadn't had the heart to wake him.
Groaning slightly he tried to move, but Peter was literally pinning him against his chest, holding onto him so tightly Edmund could hardly breathe, but if he was honest, he couldn't bring himself to care.
Sighing lightly he relaxed into Peter's arms, resting his head against his chest as his eyes closed again.
"You alright?"
Edmund almost screamed in shock at the sound of his brothers voice, and his eyes snapped open, glancing up at Peter who was looking down at him, still half asleep by the looks of it.
Edmund smiled a little at him. "I'm fine." He whispered. "You?"
Peter smiled and, if it were possible, pulled Edmund even closer. "I'm alright." He whispered.
Edmund knew that this obviously wasn't the truth, but he was too happy to say anything, and instead just snuggled against Peter and easily drifted back off to sleep.
