It had been five days since Peter had left Cair Paravel, and every day he just got even more worried about his brother.
The journey, in all honesty had been uneventful and boring, nothing having happened - but Peter took that as a good sign.
If Philip was right though they should be out of Narnia by that afternoon, and then from there it would start getting dangerous, but Peter told himself that he wouldn't turn back... he couldn't turn back.
"How about we stop for some lunch Philip?" Peter asked after a while. "And then we can carry on until we're out of Narnia?"
Philip nodded his head. "As you wish." He said.
Peter sighed a little as Philip stopped walking, climbing off of him and sitting down against a tree, reaching into the bag.
As he ate he couldn't help but wonder if Edmund was alright, or if he was actually alive. Of course he was alive! It had only been six days since the faun had said he had two weeks, so he had to still be alive. Alive and suffering. Peter cringed at the thought, swallowing hard.
He knew that Edmund wasn't exactly having the best time. Which is why you're going to get the apple. Peter silently told himself with a somewhat firm nod.
Both their heads snapped up when a wolf howl echoed through what seemed like the whole woods, causing shivers to run down Peter's spine.
"I - I take it there are wolves in the west." He said slowly.
Philip nodded. "Sounds like it." He said.
Peter listened, and sure enough he heard another howl, this time closer. "Is it me or is it getting closer?" He said, frowning slightly.
"I think it is." Philip replied.
Peter took a deep breath. "Let's carry on before it finds us." He said quickly, jumping to his feet.
"I couldn't agree more." Philip said as Peter climbed onto his back, grabbing the bag before the two headed off.
"Keep an eye out Philip." Peter said quietly.
"Will do." Came the reply.
They carried on for another two hours, only hearing another two wolves howls, before the woods started to thin out and lead them into a huge, green field, the woods continuing again on the far side.
"This is it." Philip said. "As soon as we enter the woods over there, we've left Narnia."
Peter took a deep breath, nodding. "Well, that's one step closer to finding the apple and getting home then isnt it." He said slowly. "But we have to hurry, we have a week and a day."
"It Shouldnt take too long to get to the garden from here." Philip said. "To be honest we've done rather well, it usually takes well over a week to get out of Narnia."
Peter nodded. "Well that's good." He said as they got closer to the woods. "Now we just need to get back in the same time."
He took a deep breath and Philip stopped outside the woods, glancing around at Peter with a questioning look on his face.
Peter stared into the trees, and seeing no danger at the moment nodded at Philip to continue.
Peter took a deep breath as Philip began walking again, until they were officially out of Narnia.

"Lucy go and grab some water." Susan said quickly, wrapping her arms tightly around her coughing brother. "It's gonna be okay." She whispered in his ear as Lucy dashed around the bed to the bedside table, grabbing the jug of water.
Edmund let out more hacking coughs as he buried his face against Susan's shoulder, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"It'll all be okay." Susan whispered gently, rubbing his back softly.
Lucy handed Susan a glass of water before clambering back up onto the bed, sitting opposite her siblings.
"Ed." Susan said gently. "Ed you reckon you could take a drink?"
Edmund continued to cough, gasping slightly as he shook his head.
"Come on Ed." Susan sighed. "It'll help."
Edmund clearly hesitated but nodded his head after a while, managing to get down a few sips before doubling over, twisting from Susan's arms as he coughed.
Susan swallowed hard and leant over, placing one hand on Edmund's shoulder and the other on his back, whispering reassuringly in his ear.
After five minutes Edmund stopped coughing, and collapsed back against Susan, taking deep breaths.
Susan sighed, trying to ignore the blood that had covered her dress, the bed covers and Edmund's hands. "It's okay." She mumbled as she pulled Edmund close.
Over the past few days Edmund had gotten considerably worse. His skin was as white as paper, he was always shivering even though it was summer.
His coughing was just getting worse, he was throwing up alot more than he was, his temperature was always way too high, and he was so weak - and in all honesty Susan was starting to really worry.
"You okay?" She mumbled in her brothers ear.
Edmund slowly shook his head, wincing in pain as he did. "Where - Where's Peter." He choked, letting out a small sob.
Susan sighed sadly. "I don't know Ed." She mumbled against his hair. "But he'll be back within a week, I promise."
Edmund swallowed hard, before slapping a hand over his mouth, his eyes going wide.
Susan quickly let go of her brother and grabbed the empty bucket on the floor, handing it quickly to her brother before he threw up.
"Okay." Susan whispered, rubbing a hand up and down Edmund's back.
After a while Edmund sat up a little and wiped his mouth, leaning against Susan.
"Are you alright?" Lucy mumbled, looking extremely worried.
Edmund stared at her for a while before nodding, putting on a brave face for his sister.
Susan sighed sadly, placing the bucket back on the floor as she lay Edmund down in the bed. "I'm gonna go see if I can find you something to eat." She said. "Seeming as you haven't eaten at all today." She glanced down at her shoulder, cringing at the blood that covered the dress. "I'll go get changed first." She muttered.
Edmund glanced guiltily up at her as Lucy pulled the blanket over him. "I'm sorry." He choked.
Susan's face fell. "Ed it's not your fault." She sighed, before looking at Lucy. "I'll be back in a minute." She sighed before, after one last quick glance at her siblings, leaving.
