"So, what do we actually know about the west?" Peter asked.
The next day, After deciding to go and get the apple for his brother, he'd called a meeting with Orious and and few other, Susan as well, Lucy upstairs with Edmund.
"Not alot your majesty." Orious said. "But we do know it's where alot of the witches followers have fled to."
Peter nodded slowly. "Shall I go alone?" He asked slowly.
The centaur seemed to think for a moment. "I think it's probably best if you go with one other." He eventually decided. "It'll be easier to hide, and just easier in general."
Peter nodded slowly. "Can I leave today?" He asked hopefully. "I don't really want to waste any time."
Orious nodded. "I understand." He said. "I'll ask someone to pack you some food and any other stuff you'll need."
Peter sighed. "Thanks." He said before standing. "I suppose I'll go tell Ed." He mumbled. "Su, coming?"
Susan nodded as she stood, straightening her dress before following Peter from the room.
"Peter?" She asked as they headed upstairs.
"Yeah?" Peter said, swallowing hard.
"Who else are you gonna take?" Susan said quietly, almost running to keep up with Peter's long strides.
Peter shrugged. "Not sure at the moment." He said.
Susan sighed. "Take it you want me here with Ed?" She asked.
Peter slowed to a stop and turned to face his sister. "I would prefer that." He mumbled. "Lucy can't take care of him herself. She's only nine."
Susan nodded. "Alright." She said. "I'll stay here. Just promise me you'll stay safe?"
Peter smiled gently. "Course I'll stay safe." He said. "And I will bring the apple back in time."
Susan nodded. "I know you will." She smiled.
Peter nodded back. "Come on." He said, beginning to walk again. "We better tell Ed and Lu."
The two made their way up stairs and to Peter and Edmund's room to find Lucy sat on the bed and Edmund still fast asleep, just like Peter had left them.
Lucy looked up when they both entered the room, smiling a little.
"Has he been asleep the whole time?" Peter whispered as he sat beside his brother.
Lucy nodded. "Yeah." She breathed.
Peted sighed a little. "I'm leaving today." He said slowly.
Lucy looked a little shocked but nodded her head. "Okay." She whispered.
Peter sighed a little and looked down at his brother. "Ed?" He whispered, placing a hand gently on his shoulder. But Edmund didn't stir. "Edmund wake up." Peter said, a little louder this time.
Edmund frowned in his sleep, rolling onto his back before falling silent again.
Peter sighed sadly. "I'm gonna let him sleep for a little longer." He mumbled.
Susan nodded. "I think that's probably best." She whispered.
"I'll get ready to go and then wake him." Peter mumbled, standing from the bed and grabbing his cloak which hung over the back of the chair at his desk.
Flinging it around his shoulders he secured it before sighing. "Orious said he'd sort food and anything else I'm gonna need." He said. "So I'm done."
Susan smirked slightly as she watched Peter sit back down on the bed. "You still need to decide who's going with you." She said.
"Who - Who's going with who?"
Peter looked down at the raspy voice, seeing that Edmund was now awake, and was staring up at him with half open eyes and a frown on his face.
"Hey." Peter whispered gently, hesitating before answering his brother. "I'm leaving to get the apple today and Orious said it would be better if I went with someone."
Edmund's eyes filled with fear and he immediately reached for Peter's hand which lay resting on the bed. "Don't - go." He choked.
Peter sighed sadly, gripping Edmund's hand tightly in his. "I have to." He mumbled. "If I don't get that apple then you'll - die." He forced the last word out, tears stinging his eyes.
Edmund swallowed hard before his eyes closed slowly and he nodded his head.
Peter nodded slowly back. "Alright." He said in barley more than a whisper.
"Take - Take Philip." Edmund choked after a short while of silence.
Peter frowned. "Your horse?" He asked.
Edmund snorted slightly. "He's not - my horse. I'm more - more his boy." He said, chuckling slightly.
Peter smirked. "That's actually a rather good idea." He mumbled. "Of course I'd have to ask him first though."
Edmund nodded, his eyes opening again. "Just - p - Please be careful." He whispered.
Peter swallowed hard. "I will." He said. "And I'll bring back that apple, If it's the last thing I ever do."
Edmund managed a grateful look for Peter before the expression on his face changed and his hand went to his mouth.
Unfortunately Peter wasn't quick enough in grabbing the bucket and Edmund ended up throwing up onto the bed.
Peter swallowed hard and placed a hand on the back of his head, gently playing with his hair and whispering calmly to him.
Edmund took a deep breath and leant against Peter, looking rather guilty. "S - Sorry." He choked, sounding as though he was about to burst into tears.
"Hey." Peter whispered. "It's alright."
Susan sighed. "Why don't you get into Peter's bed and we'll clean this up?" She suggested.
When Edmund did nothing Peter sighed and wrapped an arm around his waist. "Come on." He mumbled, pulling back the blanket and helping Edmund out of bed.
He had to quickly catch him though as his legs failed to support his weight, causing Edmund to let out a gasp.
"Sorry." Peter choked, leading Edmund over to his bed.
He sat him down gently before Edmund lay down, Peter pulling the blanket around him and sitting down beside him. "I'm gonna go and find Philip." He said gently.
Edmund took a deep breath before nodding. "Okay." He whispered. "Come - back before you - you leave."
"I will." Peter nodded, placing a kiss to Edmund's forehead before standing. "I won't be long." He whispered to Susan and Lucy. "Just keep an eye on him."
Susan smiled. "We will." She replied. "Dont worry."
Peter nodded slowly, and after one quick glance at his brother, he left the room.
