(Jayden POV)

It's been a few days and I'm loving just staying at home and relaxing. My bruises have all gone and my cut up face is fully healed. I feel good again.

Since being home, Mum and I have been cooking up a storm. Baking and slicing. We've almost used every Tupperware container we have to store it all and barely have any room in the fridge for normal food. Ma loves it, she's always had a sweet tooth and always munchies away as soon as she comes home. If it weren't for her werewolf metabolism, she'd be the size of a house from all the sweets

But this morning when I woke up, I wasn't happy. I have to go to school to hand in my work I've been given It sucks earwax

"Come on Jayden, I'll be there with you" Mum says trying to get me to move from the couch

"Nope" I protest

"Silver pup, I swear if you don't move your butt, I'll move it for you!"

I groan but stand up and move to the front door with my bag. Why can't they just except it by email?! I stomp my way to the car and begrudgingly sit in the front seat

The drive to the school was quiet, save for Mum's snickering at my pouting face

"It's not funny" I whine

"You look so cute when you pout" she coos in a baby voice, which only makes me pout even more "Come on pup" She chuckles "In and out. Drop off your schoolwork and we leave. I'll even take you to get ice cream after"

"Is that bribery?" I ask her accusingly

"What?" She gasps dramatically "I would never bribe my own child into doing something easy....that'll just be a travesty" She puts her hand on her forehead and throws her head back like they do in a soap opera

"Drama Queen" I mumble

"Well you got the Queen right and there's nothing wrong with a bit of drama albeit, not from you"

"Hey! I'm not a drama Queen!" I growl

"You're right" Mum smiles

"Thank you"

"You're a drama princess" She laughs

I roll my eyes and keep looking out of the window. We pull into a parking space and get out of the car

"I have to go to Mr cooties room first" I tell Mum as I walk towards the school doors

"Mr who?"

"Cooties"

"That's not seriously his name, is it?"

"No. It's Coots, but I like my version better" I laugh and Mum laughs with me

"Don't ever change my baby girl" Mum pats me on the back and smiles "You're perfect just the way you are"

"Thanks Mum. I love you too" I return her smile

We walk to the classroom and knock. Mr Cooties opens the door and growls. "You're interrupting my class Miss Love. Why do you have to be so disruptive?!" I guess he didn't see my Mum, but he's about too
