Heartbeats: Phun and Noh

3 MONTHS PREGNANT

Noh was super excited for Phun to meet Key. Noh and Phun had been in touch with Key and his husband Lock over the phone since they were both busy they couldn't meet in person until a few days ago when Key called Noh and told him that he was back from his book tour and he was wondering if he and Phun wanted to meet up. Noh asked Phun and Phun said yes so they decided to meet up today at a restaurant.

Key had been a huge help to them since he had been through what they are going through. On more than one occasions he or Phun called Key to ask a question or advice and Key and his husband have been more than willing to answer their questions. Key and Lock were actually happy that they had another couple who was going through the same thing they went through and could now call friends.

Noh and Phun entered the restaurant that they were to meet Key and Lock. Noh saw Key, Mali and another guy with dark brown hair and green eyes. He was a lean guy who they realized was Lock. Key looked up from his menu and noticed Noh and Phun. He smiled at them as they walked over to them.

"Sawatdee-krap" Key and Lock said as he wai.

"Sawatdee-krap" Phun and Noh said.

"Nice to finally meet you" Key said to Phun.

"Same here" Phun said.

"It's nice to put a face to the name." Lock said rocking a sleeping Mali. They sat across from the couple as Lock put Mali in her carseat.

"Same here" Noh said. They talked more after they ordered food.

"So how is the morning sickness?" Key asked.

"Almost gone but now it's the cravings." Noh said making Phun chuckle. He was definitely having cravings and not only for just food. Noh kicked Phun under the table making Phun just smile.

"Oh I see, you are in the stage of can't keep your hands off each other." Lock said making Noh blush a little.

"I remember those day they were intense." Key said.

"Can we please change the subject?" Noh said embarrassed.

"Have you guys heard the heartbeat yet?" Key asked.

"No but we have a doctor's appointment in two hours so we are hopeful we get to hear it then." Phun said.

"It's a magical moment when you first hear it." Lock said looking down at Mali. "It's the sweetest sound you will ever hear." Noh and Phun looked at each other before Phun took Noh's hand. The couldn't wait for their special moment.

It came two hours later when Noh and Phun pulled up to the doctor's office. Their lunch ended with Key and Lock to soon and they both promised that they would meet up again soon. Phun and Noh walked into the doctor's office and headed for the front desk. They signed in then waited for their turn. A few minutes later Noh's name was called and they were taken into the back before being put in a room. Noh and Phun talked while they waited for the doctor.

"My parents have been wanting me to visit them." Phun said.

"What did you tell them?" Noh asked.

"I told them that we are really busy but that they can come over next month to see the new house."

"Okay, they are going to lose it when they find out." He said. The doctor came in a few minutes later and smiled at them.

"Let's take a look at your baby, shall we?" She said. Noh laid back and lifted his shirt over his small bump. The doctor warned him about the coldness of the gel before putting it on his stomach. Noh and Phun looked over at the monitor as their baby appeared looking more like a human. The doctor hit a button and the heartbeat of their baby came over the speakers. Noh squeezed Phun's hand, both had huge smiles on their face. In that moment nothing else mattered.
