Finding Out The Gender: Arthit and Kongpob

5 MONTHS PREGNANT

Kongpob watched as his husband did his morning routine, his swollen belly was covered by a large shirt. He couldn't wait for June 4 which was their due date, Arthit would be having a C-section of course and Kong knew Arthit was a little nervous about it.

"Enjoying yourself?" Arthit asked as he finished putting on his lotion.

"Watching you... is always enjoyable." He said making Arthit blush before looking away. Arthit took his prenatal vitamins before trying to move past Kong to get out of the bathroom. Kongpob gently grabbed him and pushed him up against the door frame.

"Kong, what are you doing?" He said. Kong knelt down and pulled up the large shirt before kissing his belly.

"Good morning, little one" he said making Arthit's heart melt. Kongpob dropped the shirt so it covered Arthit's belly again before standing up and kissing Arthit.

"Morning husband" Husband. It was still foreign to Kong even though they had been married for two weeks but he was getting used to it.

"Morning" Arthit said.

"You ready for the gender reveal/ baby shower?" Kong asked. After much pressure from their friends and family, Arthit finally called the party a baby shower.

"I have been ready since we first heard the heartbeat." Arthit replied making Kong smile.

"Me too"

"We should head to my mother's house since we promised to be there early." Arthit took Kong's hand before they headed downstairs.

A little while later, they arrived at Arthit's parents house and headed inside to a decorated living room. A big sign got Kong and Arthit's attention, it was a betting board, on one side it said boy and the other said girl. What was even more interesting was the sign below the board, it says place your bets wisely cause if you lose you will get whip cream smashed in your face.

"You gonna vote?" Arthit asked.

"I don't care if it is a boy or girl as long as he or she is healthy." Kong said.

"Chicken" Arthit muttered making Kong chuckle. Arthit picked up a marker and wrote his name down in the boy section before putting the marker back. Kong and Arthit then went in search of Arthit's mother, Praepailin and May who was throwing the gender reveal/baby shower. Arthit's mother knew the gender and no matter how much Arthit begged she wouldn't tell him the gender. He even tried to get his dad to ask her what the gender was, but his mother was a smart woman and told her husband to tell Arthit to wait till the party. They found his mother, Praepailin and May in the backyard setting things up at the food table, the backyard looked amazing with how thoroughly decorated it was. There was chairs and gender reveal decorations plus there was a long table full of food.

"Hey Mom" Arthit said. Arthit's mother turned to them and smiled.

"Hello boys" she said. They said their hellos to Praepailin and May.

"Can we help with anything?" Kong asked.

"Everything is pretty much all set up so you guys can get some food if you are hungry or you can sit down, the guests will be here soon." Praepailin said.

"Where's dad?" Arthit asked.

"He's out running an errand, but he will be back soon." His mother said. The porch door opened and out walked the devil himself.

"Look who I found in the driveway." He said moving so whoever it was could come out. Kongpob's parents came out with Kong's sisters followed right behind them, all carrying presents. Kongpob and Arthit both smiled at them before going to greet them. As they all talked, more people arrived including all Kongpob and Arthit's friends. They got something to eat and unfortunately for Arthit, played baby games. As Kongpob watched Arthit open presents Aim came up to him.

"So, I didn't see your name on the guess the gender board, you aren't going to guess?" He asked.

"I don't care what gender it is as long as it's healthy." Kongpob said. "Did you guess?"

"Yeah, I guessed a girl and May guessed a boy."

"Can I get the parents to come up front please, it's time for the gender reveal." Arthit's mother said. Kongpob moved forward to the front and noticed Arthit moving too, looking relieved that he didn't have to open the presents he still had to open. Kongpob and Arthit were given, like everyone else a smoke stick and a lighter. They all started to count down from ten.

They all lit it and lost their minds as pink smoke came out making Kongpob grab Arthit and kissed him. It was a girl. They were having a little girl.

"Hey Arthit!!" P' Deer said making Arthit break the kiss. Kongpob moved quickly away as a paper plate filled with whip cream was shoved into Arthit's face.
