The First Night Home: Tin and Can

Tin chuckled as he watched Can try to change Nova's diaper, both Tin and Can hated doing it but it needed to be done. He probably shouldn't have done that since they were both tired but something about Can changing a diaper was funny to him.

"Since you think it's so funny why don't you do it and while you are at it, why don't you try to get her to go to sleep while I will go to bed." Can snapped.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have chuckled" he said. "Do you want me to finish for you?" Can took a deep breath and blew it out before opening them.

"No, I am basically done " he said. "Why don't you take the diaper and throw it in the diaper pail while I get her pajamas and swaddle on." Tin walked over to him and took the diaper before going over to the diaper pail by the door and throwing it away. As Can dressed Nova in cute pink pajamas, he thought about this morning when they brought her home and she cried for most of the ride. Can was stressed out the whole way home, Tin had reminded him that she would be fine and that if she was hungry there was some freshly made newborn formula in the diaper bag. Can calmed down then and was happy that Tin was there to calm him down, he wouldn't want to be parents to Nova with anyone else. He was the calmer parent between the two of them and Can loved that about him, Can pretty much assumed that he would be a calm and chill parent until Nova started dating that's when their roles would reverse.

"What are you smiling about?" Tin asked as Can picked up Nova and cradled her like a football.

"You are so going to kill anyone who tries to date our daughter." Can chuckled.

"She's not allowed to date till she's fifty." Tin said. Can chuckled again before looking down at their daughter who was fast asleep. He walked over to her crib and gently set her down before he leaned in and kissed her. He moved away so Tin can say goodnight to before they left the room and headed to their room. They stripped down to their briefs and climbed into bed before falling asleep, they got five hours of sleep before Nova woke them up with her crying.

"I got her" Tin said before getting out of bed. He walked out of the room and into the next room before grabbing a burping cloth then gently picking up Nova. They headed downstairs where Tin made her a bottle before checking the temperature so it didn't hurt her, once that was done he sat down on the couch and put the nipple in Nova's mouth. As he watched his daughter sucking on the nipple, he thought about what she would be like when she grew up, he hoped she would have a little bit of both of her parents personality. He wanted her to have a great childhood and he knew he would try his hardest to make sure she would. He wanted her to be successful and work hard for everything she wanted and to never settle with just okay, to strive for amazing. He also wanted her to find true love even though he would probably kill anyone who tried to date her. He wanted her to feel what it felt like to love and to be loved. He didn't even care if she ended up with a girl or boy, he just hoped that whoever it was would treat her like the queen she is, otherwise that person will have to deal with one pissed off dad. 

He noticed she was falling asleep, so he took the bottle out of her mouth and put her up on his shoulder with the burp cloth before burping her. After burping her. he gently lowered her back into a cradle position where she fell asleep in the safety of her dad's arm
