Team rubbed his heavily pregnant belly trying to calm Luna down. She was kicking the crap out of him.
"Come on Luna, Daddy will be back any minute." Team said as he paced the living room. Win had stepped out to put their to-go bag and car seat in the car. The door opened and Team would have sprinted if he could.
"Win, can you please calm her down, she only listens to you." He said. Win chuckled before kneeling down so his face was right in front of Win's stomach.
"Baby girl, you got to calm down cause you are hurting Papa." He said. The kicks slowly stopped.
"Thank you" Team said.
"You're welcome, now let's get you in the car so we can get our baby out of you." Win said. Team nodded before they headed outside to the car. They drove to the hospital, excited that today they would be meeting their daughter. They arrived at the hospital and was immediately admitted and shown their room. Win helped Team out of his clothes and into a hospital gown before helping him into the bed.
"I can't wait to see what she looks like and who see looks like." Team said.
"I think she's going to look like you." Win said.
"I think the opposite, I think she will look like you." Team smiled. The door opened and in walked the doctor and a nurse.
"How are we feeling?" The doctor asked.
"We are feeling ready to have her out and in our arms." Team said.
"Well then let's get started, we are going to take you down to labor and delivery where you husband will be capped and gowned while you are being prepped."
"Okay" They said. The nurse pushed the bed out into the hall and was pushed all the way to labor and delivery. Win turned to him when they arrived and kissed him.
"Love you" Team said.
"Love you more" Win said.
"Not possible" Team smiled before Win stepped back and he was pushed into the operating room. They put up a shield to block his view before prepping him. Team took a deep breath as he tried to relax. He was a bit nervous about becoming a father. He knew that he would love this baby to death but would he be a good Papa. He pushed those thoughts away, he needed to believe in himself. Team looked over as Win sat down next to his head on a backless chair. He looked a little funny with his cap and gown on.
"You look funny right now." Team said.
"I'd like to see you pull this off." Win said making Team chuckle.
"Okay Team, you are going to feel some pressure but that is normal." The doctor said.
"Okay" Team said. A few seconds later Team felt a little pressure on his stomach, it didn't hurt but it wasn't totally comfortable. He took a deep breath and took Win's hand.
"How we doing over there?" The doctor said.
"Good" Team forced out.
"Baby is out, your daughter is leaving a very funny first impression since she is flipping me off right now. " The doctor said before clearing out Luna's airways. Win and Team burst out laughing which turned into tears of happiness when they heard their daughter cry for the first time. Win stood up and looked over the shield and cried harder when he saw her.
She looked like Team more than him with her hair, cheeks, lips and eyebrows. She had his chin, ears, and eye shape. She definitely had Team's loud voice. She was taken away deeper into the room so Win sat down.
"She's beautiful and she looks more like you." He said wiping tears away. A minute later a nurse appeared with Luna and placed her on Team's chest. Team looked down at her and smiled through his tears.
"Hello Luna" he said stroking her cheek before leaning forward and kissing her face.
"We love you so much" Win said leaning over and kissing her cheek.
"She's perfect, look at her cute little fingers" He said before kissing her hand.
"Unfortunately, we have to get her checked out." The nurse said. Team kissed Luna before she was taken away.
"If you would like to come you are more than welcome too." The nurse said. Win looked down at Team who just nodded. Win swooped down and kissed Team before following the nurse out. After getting checked out Win followed the nurse who pushed the cart that Luna was in, back to their room. Win immediately took his shirt off and before the nurses could pick Luna up, he picked her up, supporting her head and neck. He placed her on his chest before going over to an armchair and sitting down. The nurse chuckled in amusement before putting a blanket over them.
"Congratulations" The nurse said.
"Thank you" Win said.
"You're welcome" The nurse said before leaving. As Win sat there holding his baby, he thought about how great her life was going to be, how he would love her and make sure that she knew he would always support her and keep her safe. He would never do what his or Team's parents did to them. If she was in LGBTQ community then he would support that even though he was in it too.
"How is she?" Pharm said from the doorway with Dean. Win looked up and smiled. Pharm held a small stuffed rabbit while Dean held balloons.
"She's great, she's sleeping right now" He said. The couple walked into the room and went over to Win and looked down at his daughter.
"She looks more like Team." Pharm said.
"Yeah she does" Win said.
"We got here as quick as we could is she here yet." Manow said in the doorway with Pruk. They held a small teddy bear and balloons. Pharm and Dean moved out of the way making Manow smile as she got a glimpse of Luna. She walked into the room and came closer to them. She smiled as she got a closer look at Luna, Pruk came up behind her, wrapping an arm around her.
"She's so beautiful"
"Thank you now can everyone one move so they can put my bed back where it belongs." Team said from the doorway. Everyone that was standing moved to stand by the wall before a nurse pushed Win's bed back where it belonged. The nurse congratulated them before leaving, closing the door behind her.
"Now would you please bring her over here so I can have a turn." Team said. Win smiled as he stood, supporting Luna's head, he moved over to the bed and put her in Team's arms. Team smiled and pulled Luna's hat down a little when it slid up a bit.
"I have only been away from you for ten minutes but it feels longer." Team said down to her.
"I didn't even let the nurse pick her up when we got here. I just took my shirt off, picked her up and sat down with her." Win said making Team chuckle.
"How are you feeling?" Pruk asked.
"Happy, tired, excited and hungry" Team said making everyone chuckle at that last part.
"I can go get you something from the cafeteria." Pruk said.
"That would be great" Team said. Pruk kissed Manow's cheek before leaving. They rest of the people gathered around the bed as they watched Team fall even more in love with Luna and falling even more in love with her themselves.
