SIXTEEN YEARS OLD
Klaus woke up and stretched before checking his phone. He smiled when he saw a text from his girlfriend saying good morning babe. Klaus was hopelessly in love with his girlfriend of five years Brooklyn Thomas. After the conversation on the bus they became best friends and a year later Klaus grew some balls and asked Brooklyn to be his girlfriend and he was so happy she said yes.
Brooklyn is the one person minus his parents that he could tell anything too. She kept him grounded and let him know that just because he's popular and has a lot of females throwing themselves at him does not mean she will not tolerate him cheating. He would never do that. She was his whole world and he would do anything to keep her by his side. She is a savage, funny, stubborn, strong, caring, kind, opinionated and a very giving person. They were similar people and worked really well together plus they were definitely in love with each other.
Out of all they years they have been together Brooklyn had yet to meet Klaus's parents. She knew that Klaus came out of Noh and that they were pretty cool parents but for some reason they had yet to meet his family. He had met her family and they loved him but now it was his turn. They were doing it tonight for his Papa thirty sixth birthday.
He texted her back saying good morning beautiful and not to be nervous. Brooklyn says she is not nervous but Klaus knew she really was. They knew about her since Klaus talks about her to them but they are always away at work or doing errands when Brooklyn is around. Nine year old, Zelda has met her and they are best buds. Zelda talks about how she wants to be like Brooklyn when she grows up.
Klaus sighed knowing he need to get up and get ready for the day. He got out of bed and headed to his private bathroom. He quickly to a shower before getting out and finishing up his morning routine. Once he was dressed he left his room and headed downstairs for breakfast. Everyone minus dad was already at the table waiting for breakfast when he entered the dinning room. He tickled Zelda side making her laugh before sat down.
"Morning Papa, morning Dad" he said
"Good morning" They said.
"Happy birthday Papa"
"Thanks" Papa said.
"What time is Brooklyn coming over?" Dad asked.
"In two hours, she had some chores to do then she's going to help her mom with something before getting ready." He said.
"I'm excited to meet her after all these years." Noh said.
"She has been talking about meeting you guys since she met Zelda. She says anyone who can raise such a sweet girl must be fantastic people." Klaus said.
"Really?" Dad said.
"You aren't saying that just so we like her?" Papa asked.
"No she really said that, you liking her is a bonus." He said then smiled.
"She sounds wonderful" Dad said as he set breakfast on the table.
"She is, I think she is the one." He said. Papa and Dad looked at each other before smiling and sitting down. The ate breakfast before they started setting up for the party. Brooklyn would not only be meeting his parents but his grandparents and his aunt and his parents friends including Pete, Earn and eleven year old China. Klaus smiled thinking about how Brooklyn said she wasn't nervous. Klaus was nervous when he met her parents and little sister, he would have been a wreck if he met her many aunts, uncles and cousins plus her grandparents back in America.
As he finished up with the decorations he checked the clock to see he had fifteen minutes till Brooklyn would arrive and an half an our till family and friends arrived. He was excited because he knew his parents would love her and especially cause she was black. They had a fascination for black people and their culture after he told them she was African American. They had done a lot of research on black culture and found it fascinating. Klaus got them to promise to not ask her a lot of questions about it. They said they will try but that they will ask her questions about herself.
Time past till it was time, he smiled when the doorbell rang. He jumped up from the couch making his Papa jump then his sister do the whip sound. Klaus stuck his tongue out at her before heading to the front door. He opened the door and the breath left his body. Brooklyn stood there in a beautiful dress with her make up done and hair straightened with a present in her hands. He had never seen her in a dress or with her hair straightened. She like her natural hair done in either a braid or some other type of hair style that her mother helped her with. She was definitely nervous cause she hated her hair straightened and hated wearing dresses. Klaus smiled before pulling her close and kissing her.
"You are so nervous" He said when he pulled back.
"Shut up" she said before he took the hand that was free.
"You look beautiful no matter what." He said as they walked into the house. They went into the living room to see Papa finishing doing Zelda's hair. The back door opened and in walked Dad.
"Brooklyn, these are my parents Phun and Noh Phumipat Napat" He said. "Guys, this is the famous Brooklyn."
"Nice to finally meet you Mr. and Mr. Phumipat Napat." Brooklyn said.
"Please just call us Phun and Noh" Dad said.
"Okay" she said. They all sat down and started talking and by the guest started arriving they were all laughing and smiling. Brooklyn warmned to his family and the same with his family. Klaus introduced her to his family and family friends and they were all welcoming. They ended outside in the backyard with everyone minus Papa and Dad who were in the kitchen doing something.
"What do you think of her?" Phun asked as they watched Klaus chase Brooklyn who was chasing China and Zelda and some of the little kids of family friends.
"I like her, she's definitely spunky" Noh chuckled. They watched as Klaus caught Brooklyn who was laughing and struggling to get away.
"I think she is perfect for him and fits in perfectly with our family." Phun said.
"I agree with you one hundred percent." He said as he watched his son with the love of his life.
