The First Night Home: Rome and Pick

If you are confused on why it's London not Dawn, her name is supposed to be London but I was running on little to no sleep when I wrote the birth of Rome and Pick's twins. I did go into that chapter and edited so that it would say London.

Pick and Rome smiled down at their two bundles of joy. London and Takoda were perfect. They were the cutest babies they had ever seen but they were a bit biased. They hadn't been home long, when they did get home the took the babies out of their carseats that Pick had brought in, and put the in a large bassinet. They haven't taken their eye off the sleeping babies since.

"We are totally going to be those parents that thinks that their babies snoring is cute aren't we?" Pick said.

"Oh yeah" Rome said pulling the baby blanket up a bit just to make sure they aren't getting cold but won't get too hot either.

"We should get something to eat." Pick said as they continued to watch their children. It was a little funny how usually their attention were on each other but when the twins were born there days ago their attention went to the twins.

"Let's order out cause I don't want to cook." Rome said.

"Okay" he said. Pick removed his phone from his pocket and quickly order one of their favorite dishes from a restaurant that did deliver before he put his phone back in his pocket and continued looking at the sleeping babies. The froze when Takoda started to move then make whimpering noises. Pick carefully picked him up and began rock left and right. Takoda settled down as someone knocked on the door.

They had put a sign up that they were given from Emma that said "If you ring that bell and wake up my twins you are putting the back to sleep" Pick and Rome thought it was funny. Rome headed over to the door and opened it half way. He took the bag of food that the delivery guy held out before thanking him and giving him a tip before closing the door. After Takoda settled down and fell back asleep, Pick put Takoda down next to his sister.

"Look at them Rome, how did we make these cute babies so perfect?" Pick said. Rome smiled and sat the bag with their food down on the coffee table.

"They get it from their Papa." Rome said jokingly.

"Yeah right, they get it from their Daddy." Pick said moving away from them to sit on the couch. Rome handed Pick a fork and his container of food before before grabbing his own fork and container and taking a seat next to Pick. As they ate they talked about the fact that Pick's boss let Pick have a three weeks of paid maternity leave. They were both thankful to his boss that he didn't make Pick come back to work the day after the twins were born.

"I was thinking-" Rome said before one of the twins started to cry. Pick set his container food plus fork on the coffee table before standing and heading over to the bassinet.

"It's London and she just woke up her brother." He said. "Great, now we have to angry babies to deal with." Rome chuckled before picking up London. Rome set down his food container on the coffee and stood to help with Takoda. As they each made a bottle for twins they thought about when they first met and how far they have come from then.

They finished making the bottles then checked the temperature of it to make sure it wouldn't hurt the twin's mouths. After making sure it was a good temperature they headed back to the couch and sat down to feed their children.

"Do you think one of them would be gay?" Rome asked.

"If so then you are giving them the sex talk." Pick said.

"Not if it's London, that's all you" Rome responded. Pick chuckled and shock his head. Life will never be interesting without Rome.

Finally got my phone to work 👏👏👏 So freaking happy.
