"You guys are so annoying." Moon said to her twin and his girlfriend. She had gotten home from school late and walked in on the two love birds cuddling on the couch looking all in love and stuff. They had only been officially together for a few days and already it was suffocating.
"You are only pissed cause your boyfriend hasn't wrote you a letter in three weeks and only sent you a text saying he is been busy." Blue said.
"I'm going to kick your ass!!" She said moving towards him.
"Hey, watch your language in my house and leave your brother alone." Type soad from the kitchen. "Blue, don't tease your sister like that."
Moon glared at her brother before heading to her room. Blue was right about her being pissed about Curtis not writing to her. They had been writing to each other since they were ten when they first met, both liking the old fashion way of communication. They talked about anything and everything and Moon fell deeper and deeper in love with him. They weren't boyfriend and girlfriend but Moon hoped that they would be.
Moon stopped receiving letters from Curtis three weeks ago and would have been due for one yesterday which was unusual. She texted him yesterday and asked what was going on and was told that he was sorry and that he had been busy with homework. Today, she had been in a bad mood all day and ended up getting detention for back talking a teacher. She entered her room and went over to her desk and got out her computer from her backpack and put iy on the desk. She sat down and started her homework, she couldn't stop thinking about Curtis and what he was doing.
"He is just busy so stop being so clingy." She berated herself. She decided that from now on she was going to not think about it for now and just focus on her school work and being the amazing person she knows she is. She didn't need a guy to make herself happy. With that in mind she finished her home before being called down to dinner. When she sat down at the table she noticed that her parents were acting strange. They kept looking at her then they would look down at their plate a smirk.
"Okay you two, what's going on?" She asked.
"What are you talking about?" Type said.
"Nothing is going on" Tharn said. "Pass the rice please."
"You guys are hiding something and one of these days whatever you are up to will be discovered." She said. They were definitely up to something but she had no clue what it is. After dinner she told her family she was going to sleep early cause she was tired. She went to her room, got into her pajama then climbed into bed and fell asleep.
The next day, Moon woke up then got out of bed before heading for the shower. Twenty minutes later, Moon headed downstairs dressed in her private high school uniform and was ready for breakfast. She had decided in the shower that she wasn't going to think about Curtis today, she was going to have a good day and that was that. She sat down next to Blue who was on his phone probably texting Ice as he ate. Type set down a plate of breakfast food in front of her and smiled.
"I bought you the stuff you need for your project and put them in your car." He said.
"Thanks dad" she said before eating her breakfast. When she was done she noticed that Blue had already left. She was glad she didn't have to share a car anymore with him. He always said she drove like a grandma but that wasn't true, she went the speed limit and he was a speed demon. She said good by to her Papa and missed the huge smile he had on his face when she left. She walked out of her house and then walked to her car where she opened the door and got inside.
"Finally, I thought you would never get in the car." A voice said as a body popped up from the back seat. Moon let out a scream in terror before realizing who it was.
"Curtis?" She turned to look at him.
"Hey" he said smiling.
"What are you doing in Thailand?" She said trying really hard not to get emotional.
"Three weeks ago I realized something, I realized that we have known each other for six years, visited each other three weeks during the summer and wrote a ton of letter and I am sick of it." He said making Moon's face fall.
"Then why are you here then?"
"Because I am sick of not being where my girlfriend is" he said. "So I talked to my parents and they agreed to move her. They said it would be a good business move to have some of their stores overseas." She finally noticed that he was wearing the same uniform as her but instead of a skirt he was wearing pants.
"Girlfriend?" She said shocked.
"Yes girlfriend, I mean I consider you my girlfriend since I haven't looked or talked to another girl the way I talk and look at you." He said. Moon's heart warmed and she smiled at him. She couldn't believe this was happening.
"Are you going to ask or do we just agree to become an item?" She asked making him chuckle.
"Moon, will you be my girlfriend?"
"I would very much like to be your girlfriend." She said before leaning over and kissing him. She closed her eyes as he cupped her face. Today was the best day ever, something told her that from now on every day would be the best day.
