Ice sighed as she unlocked her and Blue's apartment door. The past four years have been really busy for the couple, especially Ice who is doing an internship for a publishing company and working on her literature degree. She had one year left and then she will have her bachelor degree and maybe a job offer from the publishing company she was interning with.
Ice loved literature like The Great Gatsby, The Catcher In The Rye, Pride and Prejudice, To The Lighthouse,David Copperfield and many more. She loved the adventure, the romance, the way a book could draw you in and make you feel like you are actually there with the main character wherever he goes. Blue didn't share her love of it but he did encourage to follow her dreams.
Blue was a musician like his dad and was really good at it. It had opened him up and forced him to be more social instead of the shy and reserved man he was. He finally was able to tell her how he feel that day in the music room when they were sixteen and they had been together since. They graduated together, moved in together, were each others first and hopefully would be engaged soon. They had talked about marriage and Blue would always said that timing is everything and she would tell him that time has been telling them that they have basically been together since they were six and that they should at least be engaged. Blue would just chuckle then kiss her before finishing whatever her was doing.
Ice entered the apartment and was surprised to see a letter on top of beautiful short sleeveless lace white dress next to white pumps on the couch. She went over to it a picked it up the letter and read it.
Hey babe,
Happy anniversary, I know you probably forgot since we have been really busy lately so I won't hold it against you. Get ready then meet me at this address on the back of this letter.
Love Blue
Oh crap. She did forget that it was there four year anniversary of when they started dating. She quicky grabbed the dress and shoes and along with the letter she hurried into their room to get ready. After a quick shower, she threw on her dress and shoes and did her makeup before grabbing the letter of the bed and leaving the apartment. She got in her car and looked at the address. She didn't recognize it at first until she typed it into her phone and realized it was a restaurant that was part of a literature art studio. She had always wanted to go there every since it opened early this year but she was always too busy.
She was super excited to finally be able to go and quickly start the car before driving to the location. Once she got there she was surprised that the parking lot was empty except for about five cars. Usually it was always packed but for some reason it wasn't today. She parked her car next to Blue's and turned it of before getting out. She walked over to the front door and smiled at an employee who held the door open for her.
"Pay close attention to the art on the wall." He said. Ice gave him a weird look before entering the building. There was instrumental music playing as she looked down a long hallway, she started walking and noticed the first picture immediately. It was a picture of a silhouette couple where the man was holding and kissing a woman who had a sparkler in one of her hands. Over them was one of her favorite Jane Austen quotes from the book Emma
