Can sighed as he finished folding the last of the laundry. He jumped a little when arms wrapped around him and he felt lips on his neck.
"Aren't you supposed to be at work right now?" Can asked.
"I told my staff I was working from home for the rest of the day since I don't have any meetings today." Tin said as he slowly slid his hand under Can's shirt.
"You should get to it then." Can said but made no move to stop him.
"I was trying but your very tempting body has been calling me since the moment I got home."
"Well then, we have an hour and a half before we have to pick up Nova why don't you carry me up to our bedroom and I can distract you more."
"Sounds good to me" Tin said before he turned Can around and knelt a bit so his shoulder hit one of Can's hips, before standing up with Can hanging over his shoulder. Can laughed as Tin carried him upstairs and to their bedroom.
An hour and a half hours later, Can pulled up to Nova's school. They waited for the kids to come and as they saw the kids come out they noticed Frankie rushing towards them with a note in his hands. Tin rolled down the window as he approached.
"Hey Mr. Tin and Mr. Can"
"Hey Frankie" They said as he handed Tin the note. Tin opened it and found out that it was a note from Lynn. She needed them to watch Frankie till five, an emergency came up and the regular babysitter is sick with the flu. She promised to pay them back with an all paid dinner for two at her restaurant.
"Get in and buckle up" Tin said. Frankie did as he was told before they noticed what was going on with Nova. They noticed Nova glaring at a girl who was talking to an American boy who looked to be the same age as Nova.
"What does he have that I don't?" Frankie asked. Tin and Can knew about Frankie's crush on Nova ever since last year when Lynn told them about it. Can thought it was cute while Tin not so much, it's been seven years since Nova and Frankie met and became best friends and though Tin had accepted that Frankie would probably be in their lives for a long time there was a difference between being her friend and being her boyfriend.
Can knew that Tin liked Frankie and just didn't want to admit it since he refused to think that anyone is good enough for his daughter. Can thought Frankie is perfect for Nova but he is being friend zoned before he even had a chance.
"Hang in there bud" Tin said suprising both Can and Frankie. Tin did not like the new American boy, he had to many American boys trying to win his daughter's heart.
"Nova let's go" he said. Nova looked at her dad before looking back at the boy.
"Bye Elijah"
"Bye Nova" he said. Elijah had long shaggy strawberry blonde hair, brown eyes, a pointed nose and small mouth. Tin already hated him. Nova got into the car and sat next to Frankie who was still annoyed that Nova liked Elijah instead of him. Can drove off after everyone was buckled up.
"So do you like Elijah?" Can asked.
"Yeah, he's pretty" Nova said.
"Is he nice?" Can asked.
"Yeah, everyone likes him but I like him more."
"More than you like me?" Tin asked.
"No"
"That's good" He said as they pulled into their driveway. They all got out and headed inside where the kids got started on their homework. Frankie was done first so he decided to hang out in the backyard. He had yet to say anything to Nova who was oblivious to the fact that he liked her. After Nova finished her homework she joined him outside where Frankie pretend to not have a crush on her.
Later that evening, Lynn picked up Frankie who was totally ready to go. Lynn asked what was wrong with him and Can told her about Elijah, Nova's first crush. Lynn sighed and told them that maybe in the future she would change her mind and that maybe they would be in-laws. Tin wasn't ready for that yet and probably wouldn't be for a long time.
The next day, Tin drove Nova to school since Can wasn't feeling good. Nova's face lit up when she saw Elijah. Tin hated it. His little girl that looked like a mixture of her parents liked someone. Nova said goodbye to her dad before jumping out and heading towards him. It took everything within him not to get out of this car and grab Nova then take her home to homeschool her, but he knew Can wouldn't allow it so he drove off and headed home. After school, Tin came and picked up a pissed off Nova.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"He chose stupid Rose" she said putting her seatbelt on.
"Are you talking about Elijah?" He asked.
"Yes, Rose brought him a cupcake and he asked her to be his girl." She said.
"Well some boys are really stupid."
"Yeah boys suck"
