They tracked mercy and Loki to Boston a shield base had been raided by "a girl with supernatural abilities and a man with dark hair and horns they knew this was them they flew to Boston the two were leaving the base something in there hands "the tesseract" Tony pointed out "go take it somewhere safe and then return" Loki told her she nodded flying into the sky

"Stop this brother" Thor shouted disappointedly to his brother mercy was just a child and he was exploiting her "you cannot stop her she'll be your saviour or she'll be your downfall there is no in between the girl is a cosmic mistake that should have been aloud to happen but she's here in all her majestic glory" he responded admiration laced in his voice as he spoke about the brunette goddess he happened to adore she flew back down to him "it's safe" she said landing perfectly like she had been flying her whole life "hope" Tony called she turned to face him

"My name is mercy" she corrected "this isn't you Mercy your not a bad person" he tried To reason "you've seen what I've done, yet you still believe I'm worth saving" she questioned like him caring about her was impossible "of course I do your not a bad person that was hydra not you, your kind and sweet under the hard exterior" he said she shook her head "not anymore, the darkness continues to grow inside me you don't understand what it's like but Loki he understands he's helping" she reasoned "let me help you" he begged she shook her head "you can't none of you can" she responded "mercy come on" Bucky spoke from behind her she turned to face him "I'm not coming with you" she shouted turning to Loki "lets go" she instructed he nodded "you follow him and they'll be bodies piling after you, you'll have so much blood on your hands" Thor shouted after her "this is what you don't understand, I don't care" she responded holding onto Loki as the two disappeared

"Dammit" stark shouted "we'll get her back" Steve comforted placing his hand on tonys shoulder they had been searching non stop for mercy but she eventually came to them her and Loki they were looking for something, the sceptre and they figured the avengers had it they walked in side by side confidently Tony ran straight towards them mercy moved her hand and he was pinned against the walls "get searching I'll hold them off" she said he ran past and she created a barrier keeping the avengers in one room "mercy stop this" Bucky shouted she laughed lightly "I can't I honestly can't it's inside of me" she answered Thor ran at her smashing his hammer into her stomach she groaned loudly "mercy" Loki shouted running towards her as Thor hit her again she coughed standing up spitting blood out of her mouth he summoned lightening she slammed back against her barrier coughing "mercy" Loki shouted again hearing her small cries of pain "NO, you don't get to pretend about her if you cared she wouldn't be like this" Thor shouted his brother before being smashed back by the teenager as she slammed him back repeatedly whilst holding her stomach

"I care about her" Loki exclaimed "if you cared she wouldn't be like this you wouldn't have ruined a child and made her your solider, your weapon" he shouted once again Loki looked to mercy he stood beside him side her eyes black and she had a flame in her hand ready to attack "mercy stand down" he said softly she squished the flame "he's right I took away your free will, I made you a someone that your not and I can't take away the darkness only you can do that but I can change your path you don't have to be the god of strife and chaos you can be who ever you want" he said softly her eyes snapped shut and snapped open again still black but she was different she stepped away from Loki for the first time "mercy" Tony called she looked up at him "let go of your anger" he asked she looked around the avengers "I can't" she fought with herself twitching lightly Tony ran to her wrapping his arms around her "I believe in you" he whispered she had lost heaven to hell consumed by her endless torment of suffering she let her anger dictate her and in all the pain and agony it was always Tony Stark who could make it all feel better again in his embrace she found comfort "I am sorry" Loki spoke and turned to face him "I got an insight into your life , it's not really one worth living, you are unloved unliked and alone I understand why you did what you did in your situation I would have done the same" she said softly stepping into his embrace "I will always care about you" she added he smiled lightly before disappearing Thor walked to her

"Are you okay" he asked knowing he had hit her pretty hard with his hammer she lifted the bottom of her shirt she had bad bruises but other than that she was fine "the darkness will it ever come back" she asked Thor walked to stand in-front of her "the darkness will never define you because in this universe of many colours you are the only one who can wear black and still have a heart that shines so bright, you did something incredible today you had the darkness consume you and you fought it and you won that's something to be proud of" he said his hand laid on her shoulder she smiled lightly "thanks" she mumbled but she didn't feel proud she felt weak for the first time in her life she wanted to break down on the floor in tears but of course she wouldn't do that not with everyone surrounding her "goddess" she huffed quietly to her self, she was barley an adult and now she had this added weight on her shoulders and admittedly it was weighing her down but despite this she would stand head held up putting on a brave face and acting like nothing could bother her.
