Chapter 14

DIMITRI

Ever since Rose and I's conversation at the lounge room, she has been working hard and dedicating herself into trying to become an amazing guardian. Her potential has been showing and her educational skills aren't as bad. I had spoken to Headmistress Kirova that night to make sure she was on board with my plan. She had been completely fine with it which had surprised me quite a lot. I had managed to shake it off then just like how I did then.

The training session today had been quite... What's the word?....interesting? Rose had been acting strange and weird and me? Well I don't know what I was doing. All I know is that when Rose came to lounge at me, I grabbed her around the waist, threw her to the ground and pinned her there.

Flashback

"Aahhh..." I hear Rose scream as she runs towards me, trying to attack. I turn around and grab her hand. I pin her down to the ground and we both laugh.

"How did you do that?" She asks.

"Well the battle cry sort of gave it away," I say with an amused expression.

"Dam it," she cusses.

We both laugh and soon our laughter dies as we both stare into each other's eyes. Her eyes are so beautiful and wild. They are always filled with that beautiful fury. That fury I can't quite figure out. Her beautiful face is even more beautiful close up. I can spot the little spots she's got. I can see her mascara running a little, probably from all the training. Her lips are a little parted. They're so beautiful and perfectly shaped.

We're so close up that one move could end up with our lips touching. One move is all that it requires for me to have her soft lips on mine. One move and I could have that kiss I've been longing for. One move is all that it requires. I can feel her warm breath on my face.

"So... Have you got any more moves you'd like to show me?" Rose asks getting me out of my day dreams. I immediately hop off of her and assist her in getting up. I say a farewell and we part ways.

End of flashback

God, what was I thinking? What would have happened if I had gone ahead and kissed her? I should have known better. I couldn't be going around having those thoughts about my student. Our relationship needed to be merely professional, that means no relationships. She was still underage which made the whole situation even more troubling.

I should have been thinking of the consequences, not what her lips would feel like on mine. Warm and... God, Dimitri stop! I mentally told myself. I sighed heavily at realising that I wasn't getting anywhere with this. Rose was always going to be consuming my thoughts and anytime soon I'll be having even deeper feelings for her.

I got up and got dressed in my guardian attire. The queen was coming to visit and I needed to be down there in a couple of minutes, not thinking of my student.
