Now, so not pnly on wattpad do I see default covers.
I see them in freakin' real life.
Like, there are these covers with the "realistic" drawings and they look awful.
They put them on a book if they don't think it has much potential. That's why you probably have never heard of one of those books being a hit.
Because when you give a book that cover, you are sealing its fate as a bad seller.
And the cover artists of these books are only really good at, like, the background.
The characters don't look real.
When they try to give the character a surprised face, people are going to be like "She looks like a disdainful little beep."
Or when they're supposed to be pretty, they are blonde, sassy, and hideous.
If I was an author and they gave me one of those covers, I would think, "Oh, it's doomed to fail."
I'll attach a photo of a default cover on a book.
Sometimes, when a default cover is attached, it truly is a bad book.
But sometimes, it could be the next Harry Potter, if someone gave it a chance.
Please, stop the default cover disease.
