I've been in and out of care and foster homes all my life so you could say I know nothing different. Some I've loved and made good friends with other kids and didn't want to leave. Then there were others that I couldn't wait to leave.

The bad ones we won't talk about as they bring back painful memories that I don't want to think about.

I'll tell you about my best friend Lacey from when I was 5. I met Lacey when I was in my either third or forth care home. As soon as we met we knew we'd be friends forever. When I arrived she instantly looked after me. We were inseparable even in school. Whenever one of us was upset about something we instantly knew how to make the other one feel better. When I found out that I'd be leaving to live with Chloe and Ashley I was happy and devastated at the same time. I still see Lacey occasionally but not as much as I did when we lived together. I miss her a lot but no matter what she'll always be my best friend.

There wasn't a day that went past that we didn't think about our parents but then we realised that if we weren't both there at the same time then we wouldn't have met each other.
