37- revealing the news to Ashley

As soon as we got home, Ashley knew something was wrong.

Ashley: "you're back early"
Chloe: "we've got some news for you"
Ashley: "ok"
Me: "you might wanna sit down before we tell you"
Ashley: "now you're worrying me"
Chloe: "you might be shocked when we tell you but try not to freak out"
Ashley: "can one of you just tell me what's going on"
Me: "do you want me to tell him or do you want to do it?"
Chloe: "I'll do it"
Me: "I'm right here if you need me"
Chloe: "you know how I've not been feeling well and completely not myself since we got back from our honeymoon?"
Ashley: "yeah"
Chloe: "well Ava and I weren't on a girls day, well we kinda were. We were actually at the doctors trying to get to the bottom of it"
Ashley: "did they find out what's wrong?"
Chloe: "yeah"
Ashley: "you're not dying are you?"
Chloe: "nope, you're stuck with me for a bit longer"
Ashley: "what did they say?"
Chloe: "here's where the shock might appear; you're going to be a dad"
Ashley: "you're pregnant?"
Chloe: "I am"
Ashley: "wow"
Chloe: "your not angry are you?"
Ashley: "of course I'm not. Surprised definitely but not angry"
Me: "I'm going to leave you two to talk. I'll be in my room if you need me"
Ashley: "Ava"
Me: "yeah"
Ashley: "Thanks for going with and looking after Chloe"
Me: "I wasn't exactly going to let her go by herself"

I left Ashley and Chloe to talk by themselves. I went to find my phone to message Janette and Bex about when they're next free at the same time as I had to talk to them. I know that I can see Janette without Bex needing to be there but it just made it easier if they were there so I'd only have to announce it once instead of separately.

We arranged that we'd meet in two days in the park. I told them that it's nothing serious I just have to tell them something and it'd be easier if they're together.
