40- meeting the strictly cast

I was super excited for today as I was going to be meeting the other pros that Janette works with. Plus I was being reunited with Amy and Karen who I hadn't seen since my birthday. I'd spoken to Amy a bit especially when I introduced her to Lacey but I didn't really speak to Karen much.

When Janette came to pick me up I could tell that something was wrong as she wasn't her usual bubbly self. I decided to leave it for a bit to see if she said anything if not I'd try to talk to her about it.

I spent most of the journey looking out of the window to pass the time. When we got to the studio, Amy arrived at the same time so I went over to see her.

Amy: "hey"
Me: "hey, can I ask you something please?"
Amy: "of course"
Me: "can I walk around with you please? Somethings up with Janette and I don't know anyone else"
Amy: "sure. How about we find Karen and get her to talk to Janette?"
Me: "ok"

Amy gave me a mini tour while we were trying to find Karen. We found Karen and I told her what had happened.

Karen: "Janette will be ok. You stay with Amy and I'll find Janette"
Me: "ok"

I wasn't fully convinced but Karen's known Janette longer than me so I guess I just had to trust her. Plus it gave me longer to get to know Amy.

I was sat watching Amy's camera blocking when someone came and sat next to me. I didn't know who they were and was wondering why they sat next to me when there were loads of empty seats that they could have sat in. I tried to have a proper look without making it really obvious and realised that it was last year's winner Stacey.

Me: "hi"
Stacey: "hi, you ok?"
Me: "yeah thanks. You?"
Stacey: "yeah thanks. I've not seen you around here before."

Just as I was about to answer Amy came over.

Amy: "alright Ava?"
Me: "yes thanks. That looked incredible"
Amy: "thank you. Stace I see you've met Ava"
Stacey: "you two know each other?"
Amy: "yeah, I met her a few weeks ago at her party and I'm just looking after her for a bit"
Stacey: "well happy belated birthday. If you need someone to hang out with if Amys busy then come and find me. I'll be around all weekend"
Me: "thank you and I will"

Stacey left Amy and I where we were.

Me: "have you got to be anywhere?"
Amy: "no why?"
Me: "can we see if we can find Karen and Janette?"
Amy: "if you want to"

Amy and I went to see if we could find Janette and Karen. We found them in the girls dressing room and it definitely looked like Janette had been crying.

Me: "you ok?"
Janette: "I will be. Have you had fun with Amy?"
Me: "I have. I met Stacey as well"
Janette: "what did you say?"
Amy: "that I met her a few weeks ago at her party and I'm just looking after her for a bit"
Janette: "thanks for looking after her"
Amy: "it's fine. I'll leave you to it"
Me: "thanks for looking after me Amy"
Amy: "I had fun. If you need me come and find me?"
Me: "you'll be the first person I look for"

It was so awkward as I could tell that Karen knew what was wrong with Janette but neither of them would tell me.

Me: "Karen, can you give us a minute please"
Karen: "you going to be ok?"
Janette: "will you stay?"
Me: "what's going on? I haven't seen you rehearsing and they've only got Kevin left. Now I think of it you were awkward and silent when Amy brought it up at my party"
Janette: "I can explain"
Me: "I'm listening"
Janette: "i wanted to tell you but I didn't know how"
