52- telling Isla and Sam whats wrong with Lexi

Me: "hey"
Chloe: "hey my little princess. Now you're here I'm gonna go for a nap"
Me: "you ok?"
Chloe: "just tired"
Me: "I'll bring you up a drink in a bit"
Chloe: "thank you. Bye Isla. Bye Sam"

Isla: "hey"
Sam: "how's my little princess?"
Me: "fast asleep. She's had fun though. How was the nursery?"
Isla: "a waste of time. They had absolutely no idea that anything was wrong. You said that you had something to tell us?"
Me: "I had a chat with lex after watching a few Disney films"
Isla: "that's where we were going wrong, we should have bribed her with films"
Lexi: "daddyyyyyyyyy"
Sam: "hi princess, have you had fun?"
Lexi: "I have and been a big girl"
Me: "do you want to be an even bigger girl and tell mummy and daddy what you told me"
Lexi: "Don't make me talk about it again"
Me: "hey it's ok. Sam why don't you take her out for a bit while I tell Isla?"
Sam: "come on then, shall we go to the park and leave mum to talk to Ava?"
Lexi: "me want Ava!!"
Me: "Heyyyy, you go down with your dad while I talk to your mum then we'll join you down there"
Lexi: "prom"
Me: "prom"
Sam: "ready princess"
Lexi: "go daddy"

Isla: "what did she say?"
Me: "that the children aren't nice. They hit and call her names when no one is looking"
Isla: "that explains why she never wants anyone to come over after nursery"
Me: "yeah"
Isla: "thanks for finding out"
Me: "it's ok, glad I could help"
Isla: "we should head down to the park"
Me: "what about Chloe?"

Just as I asked Ashley appeared through the door.

Ashley: "what about Chloe?"
Me: "she's gone for a nap and we were just about to go and meet Lexi and Sam at the park. I didn't want to leave her"
Ashley: "you two go and I'll stay here with Chloe"
Me: "you sure?"
Ashley: "go. I'll call you if we need you"

As Isla and I were walking down to the park, Isla could tell that something was up.

Isla: "what's up?"
Me: "just thinking about things"
Isla: "wanna talk?"
Me: "just worrying about Chloe and Janette"
Isla: "I had a feeling that something was up with Chloe earlier"
Me: "what did she say?"
Isla: "she was really quiet and if I brought her pregnancy up she shut down"
Me: "how long have you known Chloe"
Isla: "a few months before she met you, why?"
Me: "how did you meet?"
Isla: "you're telling me that Chloe's never told you how her, Kirsty and I met?!"
Me: "nope"
Isla: "Kirsty and I have been friends since school. We were on holiday when we saw Chloe sat by herself so we decided to see if she was alright. I'll let her tell you what was wrong. Anyway we got talking and it went from there and now look at us"
Me: "I'd always wondered how you'd become friends but I'd never asked Chloe. Can I ask you something?"
Isla: "you can ask me anything you know that"
Me: "what was Ashley like before him and Chloe met me? There's a reason why I'm asking which I'll tell you in a bit"
Isla: "when I first met him I wasn't sure what to think. I got to know him and he treated Chloe like a princess like he couldn't do enough for her, I gave him the benefit of the doubt as Chloe seemed happy and If he made her happy who was I to argue. Then one day it changed and my suspicions were right"
Me: "what happened?"
Isla: "you cannot tell Chloe you know"
Me: "what's said between us stays between us"
Isla: " Chloe turned up on the doorstep must have been like one am, tears streaming down her face couldn't even get a sentence out. So I invited her in and let her sob for as long as she needed. Once she had calmed down she started telling me what had happened. I couldn't believe it"
Me: "if he'd done whatever it was then how come they're still together?"
Isla: "he got help with his problems as he knew he couldn't lose Chloe. She was the first person he'd properly fallen in love with and would do anything to fix it"
Me: "thanks for telling me"
Isla: "why'd you want to know? Has something happened?"
Me: "you could say that. Let's say things make more sense now"
Isla: "is everything ok?"
Lexi: "Avaaaaaaaaaa"
Me: "hey, see I promised we'd be down as soon as we'd finished talking"
Lexi: "yay, play with me?"
Me: "what shall we play on?"
Lexi: "the swings"
Me: "I'll race you"

I raced Lexi to the swings then had a competition to see who could go the highest which was definitely the perfect distraction that I needed. After a while, Lexi started to get tired so I gave her a piggy back, back to the house where Sam had parked the car and promised that I'd see her soon.
