I heard them outside of the room I was in and held my breathe. I knew if I moved I'd give myself away and I didn't want to ruin anything especially my hiding spot.

Chloe: "what's going on?"
Ashley: "you'll see"

As they entered I heard them both gasp. Think it was safe to say Chloe wasn't expecting it and Ashley couldn't believe how magical I'd made it look.

The further and more Chloe looked the more she felt like a Disney Princess which was the effect that I was going for. She couldn't believe any of it, I kept hearing her wanting Ashley to pinch her. When he didn't come up behind her to hug her like he always does, Chloe knew something was happening and turned around to find him on one knee. I could see her starting to get emotional which I hadn't seen her ever do which took me by surprise. "Maybe it's something to do with whatever happened to her before she met Ashley or it could be to do with what he told me the other day." I thought to myself in my nice hiding spot.

Ashley: "Chloe you're probably wondering what's going on. I've loved you from the first moment I saw you and I knew that you were the girl I wanted to grow old with. Every day we've been together whether we've been together or apart for work my love for you has grown stronger. When we went to the children's home I know it was hard for you but then we met Ava and I've seen the bond that you two have and we went from a pair to a trio but it's made our love for each other has get stronger."

I had to try not to start crying as Ashley was delivering his speech. He hadn't run it past me as he wanted Chloe to be the first person to hear it.

Ashley: "Chloe will you do me the incredible job of becoming my wife?"

There was silence as Ashley and I held our breath waiting for Chloe's answer. "Please say yes" I kept thinking knowing how special Ashley and I wanted it to be.

After what felt like forever Chloe finally replied "of course I will." They kissed and went to open the lemonade that was on the table next to some glasses. Ashley and Chloe weren't big drinkers and since I'd had time before I'd messaged Ashley earlier, I'd gone to get them lemonade so that they had something to drink for their toast. I could see that there was something wrong with Chloe as she wasn't as happy and excited as I thought she'd be. I kept hoping that Ashley would notice.

The music started playing which caused them to start dancing. I knew that something was definitely up with Chloe but I didn't know whether or not to ruin the mood by jumping out of my hiding place to try to ask her or wait until they left, quickly getting home then trying to get some time with her without Ashley to ask her. I decided to wait until we were home. Until then I was going to let them have their moment. I couldn't wait for Chloe's reaction when she told me.
