49- meeting the female pros

It was a week after I'd seen Janette and we'd sorted things out. We'd spoken a lot more in the last week and tonight I was going over to see her and meet the female pros. I was glad that Janette had asked me in advance instead of springing it on me again. Aljaz and Noah were going to Kevs for the night.

I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't nervous about it but I knew that Amy would be there. After I'd finished packing I went to find Chloe to say bye and Ashley as he said he'd give me a lift.

If luck would have it Amy arrived at the same time as I was dropped off so I instantly felt a bit better knowing that I wasn't walking in by myself. It felt weird without Noah but I knew that he'd be having fun with Aljaz and Kev. When we walked in, Janette came over to say hi and to tell me that not everyone was here yet.

I went to put my things in Noah's room and went back downstairs as Nadiya, Nancy and Dianne were arriving. Amy walked out of the kitchen as I was at the bottom of the stairs. Janette asked if I was ready to meet everyone. I turned to Amy to make sure that she was coming as well and nodded. I felt sick walking in which Amy picked up on and pulled me close to her.

Janette: "girls, this is Ava"
All the girls: "hi"
Me: "hi"
Amy: "do you wanna come and sit by me?"
Me: "yes please"

Amy and I found a space next to Nadiya. I just sat there letting the others speak. Amy kept making sure that I was ok.

Nadiya: "you ok?"
Me: "yes thanks. I'm just a quiet person until I get to know people"
Nadiya: "I used to be like that"
Katya: "hi"
Me: "hi, katya isn't it?"
Katya: "it is"

As the night went on I found myself talking a bit more and the girls came over in little groups to talk. Amy asked if I wanted to give her a hand with extra snacks so I followed her to the kitchen.

Me: "thanks"
Amy: "what for?"
Me: "looking after me tonight and not leaving me in their by myself"
Amy: "it's ok. I did want to check in to see how your feeling"
Me: "alright thanks. Better than I was at the studio"
Amy: "how would you feel about coming back to the studio? I know that Stacey misses having you around"
Me: "I miss her. I'll think about it. Can we not say anything to Janette about it"
Amy: "we'll keep it between us. Let me know when you've decided"
Me: "thanks and of course I will. We should go back in"

Amy and I grabbed the snacks and went back to the others.
