The next day, Chloe wanted to spend the day with me but I'd promised Ashley I'd go with him to choose Chloe's engagement ring. I promised Chloe that I'd spend time with her after I'd helped Ashley. I could sense that Chloe was suspicious but she knew that it must be important for me to be helping him.
After breakfast, I quickly jumped in the shower and got ready. When we were both ready, we jumped in the car and went into town. We went through every jewellers in town before we found the perfect ring. As soon as we walked in we both looked at each other and knew that it was the one. Once we'd paid for the ring, I checked my phone to find a message from Bex saying that Noah was on the mend which put a smile on my face. I messaged Chloe to see where she was and that we'd finished our mission. Chloe said that she'd meet me at our usual food place. Ashley told me to message him when I was with Chloe, we said bye and headed off as it was only a five minute walk from where we were.
As soon as I was with Chloe I quickly text Ashley to let him know then put my phone away. It's been ages since I last spent proper time with Chloe so I wanted to enjoy it. We ordered a drink and food then sat down at our usual table.
Me: "I spoke to Bex earlier and Noah's doing better"
Chloe: "that's good, next time you go and see them, I'd like to come with you if that's ok with you?"
Me: "of course, I'd like you to come"
Chloe: "we'll speak to Bex and organise something"
Me: "thanks Chloe for everything"
Chloe: "it's ok. Nothing will change no matter what happens"
Me: "you and Ashley will always be family"
