54- spending the day with Noah

As Janette and Aljaz were busy rehearsing all day for the strictly Blackpool special on the weekend and Chloe and Ashley had a pregnancy class that I couldn't go to I offered to have Noah to keep myself busy plus I knew that it would help Janette and Aljaz out.

I'd stayed at Janette's last night as it'd be easier and all of Noah's things were there.

I quickly messaged Chloe

Hey you, hope the class goes well and I'll see you later or tomorrow. Love you

Noah started to stir so I went to see to him. Aljaz had picked him up so he was a bit better.

Aljaz: "you sure you're going to be ok?"
Me: "we'll be absolutely fine. Go have fun rehearsing"

Aljaz passed Noah to me and finished getting ready. I took Noah downstairs where I heard Janette.

Me: "you ok?"
Janette: "yeah"
Me: "you sure?"
Janette: "nope"
Aljaz: "what's wrong princess?"
Janette: "maybe I should stay here"
Me: "Aljaz take Noah, I need to borrow Janette a minute"

Janette and I went into the front room leaving Aljaz and Noah in the kitchen.

Me: "what's wrong?"
Janette: "honestly, I don't want to be away from Noah, like what if he has a meltdown or something?"
Me: "do you know what you need?"
Janette: "what"
Me: "a massive hug and to have some fun with your friends. Noah and I will be absolutely fine. I'll message you with updates if it'll make you feel better and we can FaceTime at lunch so you can see him. I promise if anything happens you'll be the first person I message"
Janette: "thanks sweetie. You sure about the updates?"
Me: "if it'll keep you calmer and help you get through today then of course I will"
Janette: "it will."
Me: "that's what we'll do. Now go have some fun with your friends and husband and I promise you'll be home before you know it"

Janette felt a bit better so we went back to the kitchen where I took Noah back from Aljaz. Aljaz and Janette made sure they had everything and left. I went to get us some breakfast and work out what we'd do.

I decided that we'd go to the park for a while then come home in time for his nap. Noah fell asleep so I jumped in the shower to get ready. He decided to wake up when I got out which made getting him ready easier. We were just about to leave when I got a message from Janette

Thanks for this morning. Hope he's behaving himself and you're having fun.

It's ok, here if you ever need to talk. He always behaves. We're just about to go to the park. Say hi to Amy from me.

Thanks. Have fun. Amy says hi back

I made sure that we had everything. I put Noah in his pram, gave him his toy and left. Trying to get down the steps was fun but I managed it. I was surprised that Chloe hadn't replied yet. On our way, Noah started pointing to things making the weird noise that he does so I told him what they were.

When we got to the park, I took Noah out of the pram and let him point to where he wanted to go; which was the swings. I sat him in one and started swinging it. He soon decided that we had to go to the slide now.

After Noah had been on everything Noah friendly, I could tell that he was starting to get tired. As soon as I put him in his pram he was asleep. I checked the time and knew Janette would be on lunch soon. Then I realised that the park was close to the studio so I thought we'd go surprise Janette. I quickly text Aljaz just to make sure it'd be ok.

It's absolutely fine. I won't tell Janette that you're coming.

I followed the directions that Aljaz had sent me. I managed to get to the corner before my phone went off with Janette's id flashing.

Janette: "hey"
Me: "hey, how are rehearsals going?"
Janette: "good thanks. Missing you both. How's Noah?"
Me: "turn to your right"
Janette: "why?"
Me: "trust me"

Janette turned to her right, saw us and ran up the street to see us.

Janette: "is he ok?"
Me: "apart from being absolutely shattered from all the park equipment he's good"
Janette: "what are you doing here?"
Me: "I realised that the park was close to the studio, you'd be on lunch soon so I messaged Aljaz and we thought we'd surprise you"
Janette: "thank you. I love it"
Me: "it's ok"

We sat down on the steps outside the studio with the other pros talking then I heard someone yell my name and instantly knew who it was; Amy.

Me: "heyyyyyyy"
Amy: "heyyyyyy"
Me: "missed you"
Amy: "missed you too. What you doing here?"
Me: "I took Noah to the park this morning then we thought we'd surprise you all"
Amy: "looks like he had fun"
Me: "he definitely did"

When their lunch break was over, I said bye to all of them and took Noah home. I could tell that Janette didn't want us to leave but I told her that it would be over soon and she'd soon be home. Chloe still hadn't replied which was really worrying as it never took her this long so I decided to message Ashley

Is Chloe ok? I messaged her this morning and she still hasn't replied. How did the class go?

She will be. The class brought back a lot of things so we ended up leaving and getting an appointment with the counsellor instead. I'll tell her that you messaged her and were asking about her.

Do you need me to come home? Tell her to call or message me if she needs me

It's ok and I will do.

I knew something must have happened for Chloe not to have replied by now. I just hope she's as ok as she can be.

When Noah and I got home, I quickly changed him and set up some toys while I got him something to eat. I'd eaten with the pros but he'd slept the whole time and I could tell that he was hungry.

I knew that they were on their way home; I picked Noah up and stood waiting for them to see who would notice who first. As they got close to the house Aljaz and Janette could see us in the window waiting for them. As soon as Janette saw us, she ran the rest of the way and straight up the steps. When she got in, she gave us a massive hug and I could tell that she was happy to be home. "What's up?" "Just missed my kids; I know I saw you both a few hours ago but I still missed you and this afternoon dragged on forever" Aljaz appeared next to us. "Has Janette been like this all afternoon?" "Yeah, she's missed you and couldn't wait to get home" "we've missed you too. Why don't you go have a shower while my assistant chef and I start dinner then we can catch up?" "You sure? Don't you need to get back for Chloe?" "She's had a bit of a rough day so I'm giving her and Ashley some time together to talk about it. I spoke to Ashley when we left you and he promised that he'd get Chloe to message me if she needed me" "as long as you're sure, you know that you're welcome and can stay as long as you want" "thanks"

Janette and Aljaz walked in the kitchen to find me dancing around with Noah on her feet. Aljaz and Janette stood in the door watching them and she could feel herself getting emotional and smile at the same time. Once we'd finished they started clapping. Noah sat on the floor and started crawling over to them. "He's missed you" "we've missed him too" "have you heard anything from Chloe?" "Not yet. I'm leaving it to her, she knows I'm here if she needs me. But it's been ages since her and Ashley spent time together so I'm giving it to them. Plus I haven't seen monkey or you guys in ages" "you know your welcome whenever you like" "I do thanks"

After dinner Aljaz washed up while Janette, Noah and I went to watch some tv. Noah started to fall asleep on my lap so I took him up to bed.

When I came back downstairs Janette could tell that something was wrong. "You ok?" "Is it ok if I stay over tonight?" "You know that you can whenever you want to. Do you want to talk about it?" "Thanks. No thanks. Can we just watch a movie or something please?" "Hey, come here. If you want to talk about it we can and if not then we'll watch a movie. What do you want to watch?" "Beauty and the beast. It's my go to whenever I'm down or thinking about everything" "you have good choice. Why don't you go and get into your pjs while I get the movie throw and some snacks then we'll curl up and watch it" "thanks"
