"Well this is a surprise, "
Jimin holds the phone in his hand, jaw clenched as his stared through the glass. Eyes locked into the man on the other side while a smile of amusement laced onto his face. But Jimin wasn't amused, far from it. He was fuming, no words could muster how he was feeling at the moment. He himself doesn't even know where these emotions were coming from - but they were there.
"You know, " Jimin chuckles bitterly, "I'm still pissed off at this little stunt you pulled."
Sicheng laughs, one so sickening that causes Jimin to clench his jaw and lean back into the chair while making a mental note to actually break the glass separating the both of them. With Jimin's immense strength due to being a Zombie - he was more than capable of doing so.
"Stunt?"Sicheng scoffed, "I was doing the world a huge favor, one where you and I will benefit from. And that's a world where there are no Zombies."
"She didn't do anything!"Jimin shouts, slamming his hand on the table, "All she fucking did was live. And people want to kill her for it. She hasn't done anything! Nothing! And you want to kill her?"
Sicheng falls quiet, his hand signaling to the approaching policeman.
"Oh Park Jimin, you really have a way of making yourself sound like a good person, " He smiles, "Does your girlfriend approve of you being a criminal?"
"Just like me."
And Jimin can feel everything around him stop at once as his new grown fear gets thrown into his face. Sicheng was an old friend, one that was occupied Jimin through his roughest times. If Jimin had to be honest, Sicheng was the one who had uncovered that side of him. A side he is now slowly trying to get rid of.
"I'm nothing like you, " Jimin says, a dense emotion racking through his thoughts. "I'm not a criminal."
"What the fuck do you think a vandal is categorized as? An angel?" He scoffed, a wicked smile trailing along his lips as he shakes his head before running a hand through his hair, eyes trailing along with Jimin's distant features, "I'm guessing the only reason you're here is that Y/n is scared and fragile. But wait until she hears what you do in your free time. As much as I hate to admit - she's smart."
"Hopefully, smart enough to leave your ass."Sicheng sighs, "It would be such a pity if she were to find out."
Leave?
"You can't keep doing shit like this with Y/n in your life now. How the fuck do you think she will feel?"
Jungkook's voice echoes through his head and Jimin aggressively slams the phone in it's place before standing up and pushing the chair, his mind was already racing as Sicheng's sickening loud laugh is heard but Jimin was already on his way his out.
It's not like you've been in his life for long. It's only been a brief moment. But why does the thought of you hating him cause his guts to wrench? Why does it make him feel like he was on the verge of just passing out?
He couldn't help but admit the sick bastard was right and as much as Jimin wanted to just admit his wrongdoings...he was now actually scared about how you would react.
He could picture the tears in your eyes, the fear in your voice. And if he couldn't help but admit that his sin could break something new, that being a relationship with you. And if that were to ever happen - Jimin wouldn't be able to do something that he actually enjoyed.
And that was protecting you.
What didn't help his growing anxiousness was Sicheng's words.
"It would be such a pity if she were to find out."
Jimin sits in the driver's seat, slamming the car door behind him before gripping the leather steering wheel. He tried comforting himself - trying to tell himself that Sicheng was in prison. But Jimin was realistic.
Sicheng had a record of going in and out all the time. Jimin knew that he was going to get bail because you didn't have it in you to press charges. Jimin couldn't imagine him roaming through the streets - again - with easy access to you...
Again.
His phone rings, catching him completely off guard. He watches as your name flashes onto his screen and all he does is look at it.
What the hell is even happening? Why does it feel it feel like someone was putting the world on his shoulders? It was tiresome, and Jimin was slowly beginning to acknowledge it. He can't even picture you not there.
His mind can't muster the thought of it.
Jimin answers the call, watching as your face flash onto the small screen. The pixels made your face look blurry so you patiently wait for the video to become clearer.
"Hi, " You chirp, "I just wanted to check on you. We haven't spoken since yesterday."
He smiles once the vision becomes clearer, " Hey. Yeah, I'm sorry. I was busy."
"You're always busy." You laugh lowly, "Do you have a job or something?"
You bite into a cupcake and Jimin chuckles before raising an eyebrow and bringing the camera to close to his face.
"What are you eating?" He says in a teasing tone, " It looks delicious."
Jimin watches as you turn around and reach for the tray, your eyes gleam as you bite down on your lip to hide the massive grin on your face. The tray had a variety of muffins,
"I made muffins because I was craving - and then I made some icing for the chocolate ones."
He places a hand on his chest and scoffs, "Only for the chocolate ones? What about the rest? Love each muffin equally."
And you laugh. So hard. The sounds rings through his ears and all he does is watch you as the corner of his mouths lift slowly. He would do anything just to make sure that he only hears you laugh.
He wants to hear giggles not sobs.
Jimin switches the rover on and prepares himself to hang up the call.
