please read this, i know a lot of people skip this but it's important since the story plot is difficult to understand without this info and along the story some people ask me questions explained here which actually doesn't bother me at all but it is kind of sad that i wrote this only for you guys to understand better!

first of all!!

this is not my first soulmate au, if you've read my previous books, then you know my first soulmate au was my junhao book, but trust me, this one is quite different even though it might seem a little similar, if you haven't read my junhao book then please check it out!! it's a very good story in my opinion and i had a really hard time coming up with the plot

i'm deaf so i added some of my personal experiences and wishes, so, i hope you guys can give it a chance and read it since i worked very hard on it and poured my heart in making it a great book! but, enough with the self-promo sksksk

this also takes place when they're in high school (like the junhao book) but as i said, it's a completely different au, the other one involved sound and this one involves physical contact

okay, so now, i'm going to start explaining what this will be about!

in this au, everyone lives normally as we do, the only thing that makes it special is that you can find your soulmate because you get a permanent mark on your skin where your soulmate touches you for the first time in the form of the body part your soulmate touches you, for example, if your soulmate touched you for the first time on your cheek with their index finger then you'll get a mark in that place in the form of their index finger

the mark only takes a few seconds to take place on your skin forever and it has the color tone of a birthmark (a sort of brownish tone)

now, this is a question i also answered in my junhao book but if you guys haven't read it then i'll explain it here too

do people still date even when they know the other person isn't their soulmate?

of course!! people still date for the same reason we in this universe do, for love, you can't decide who you fall in love with, so yes, people still date even though it's obvious the other person isn't their soulmate

to be clear, the mark can only form if someone touches another person's bare skin, there are no exceptions c:

also, i wanted to add something that might've not been very clear before, meanie are asexual in this story, please don't expect something sexual to happen between them and respect the character's sexualities!! <3 originally i didn't want to spoil their sexualities because as the story developed i dropped signs of their sexualities, yet some people still commented suggestive stuff which is honestly kind of weird heh, so i needed to make this very clear before anyone starts reading:)
