seungcheol pushed mingyu "hurry up" he whispered

wonwoo and minghao were sitting in the same place where mingyu had talked to minghao about being soulmates for the first time

the thing was that he was hesitating whether to ask him or not so seungcheol had pushed him towards them

he walked in their direction with a smile "oh, hi" he said trying to sound casual

mingyu suspected they had already seen him because wonwoo's face was expressionless even before he walked towards them

"hi" minghao tried to smile

"i was wondering if you wanted to join us for lunch on next break" he said and pointed towards his friends who just waved at them

"uhh, yeah sure" minghao said and pressed his lips together "can wonwoo join us too?" he asked

mingyu smiled and was about to say yes but wonwoo interrupted "no, i wouldn't like to stick my nose in where i don't belong" he said nervously

"come on, it's no problem, my friends will be there too, it would be a little unfair if you weren't there" the taller said politely but couldn't help but think "he must really hate me"

minghao smiled at wonwoo and raised his eyebrows "you see? mingyu wants you to join us" he said "pleaseeee, you owe it to me and you know it"

wonwoo just exhaled unconvinced but then nodded "fine" he said

"perfect, we'll see you next break in the main cafeteria" mingyu said and stood there awkwardly in silence before leaving

"well, what do you guys have in common?" seungcheol asked to break the silence

minghao shrugged "well, we both like pizza" he said

mingyu's friends started laughing and then stopped when they realized he was serious "oh" seungkwan said with a disappointed look "you're not joking"

mingyu gulped "we don't know each other well yet, that's why we can't mention stuff we have in common" he said and chuckled awkwardly

"umm, yeah, that happens" hansol said trying hardly not to start an awkward silence "what did you guys do at your date?" he asked

"not much really, we had dinner and talked" minghao said and looked at mingyu "we just talked and talked, right?" he smiled

"i guess" mingyu said with an awkward grin

his friends turned to see each other discretely and cringed, it was worse than they imagined

meanwhile, wonwoo was trying to make everyone forget he was there, he hadn't said a single word and wasn't planning to

he was just trying to keep a straight face and not cringe at the fact that his best friend was pretending to be interested in his soulmate but then he noticed something

seungkwan was staring at him, he looked at him and realized the younger wasn't staring at him specifically, he was just analyzing his mark

he looked away and waited for him to stop looking at his mark, but when he turned to see him again, his heart skipped a beat

seungkwan was staring at mingyu's hand

a few seconds later, they made eye contact, however the younger remained expressionless when he saw his panicked face and then just nodded with an evil smile forming on his lips

"so, wonwoo" he interrupted the conversation "you've been awfully quiet, it must be because you're still shocked that your best friend found his soulmate, right?" he smirked

wonwoo just gulped when the other four turned to look at him "i'm naturally really quiet, but yes, i guess it's still a little weird seeing him with his sOulmate" his voice slightly cracked while trying to remain calm

"oh don't worry darling, that's completely normal, any luck finding yours?" seungkwan asked intimidatingly

mingyu raised an eyebrow, why was he acting like that? the younger usually acted in such way with people he didn't like, what did wonwoo do to him?

"if i'm honest, no, but you know, that's just life, i'm sure i'll find them sooner or later, i just don't see the rush" he said and gulped

"you're completely right" seungkwan said and flashed an obviously fake smile before taking out lip balm from his pocket and start rubbing it on his lips sassily while plumping them and without breaking eye contact

the situation was getting a little tense and no one that wasn't wonwoo or seungkwan knew why

but just then, the bell rang making them sigh in relief "well, this was great, i have to go" wonwoo said quickly and left

"this was lovely" minghao tried to sound happy "i have to go too, but see you around mingming" he said and they all cringed hardly

mingyu didn't know how someone could force out a nickname so much, it felt so wrong for all of them

"these guys need serious help" hansol thought
