wonwoo giggled "no" he said without facing him "that was pretty dumb"

"i still bought it though" he said and then chuckled softly "i- look, i respect that you didn't want me to know, but i think i deserve some answers after being lied to for about two months"

"you're seriously not mad?" wonwoo asked and turned to look at him a little hesitantly

"wonwoo" mingyu sighed exhaustedly "of course i'm not, you made a mistake and i bet you also paid for it, it must've been real weird seeing your best friend with your soulmate" he chuckled

"it's probably the worst mistake i have ever made" wonwoo said tiredly "but it's not like i was jealous, you two could barely hold a conversation" he giggled

"it was so exhausting, i tried so hard to bring myself to fall for him but i felt like i was just hanging out with a friend" mingyu replied honestly "it was so confusing because i thought i was going to feel that emotion for him since the start like i felt with you" he said shyly

"what emotion?" wonwoo asked

"i'm not sure, i guess i mean the feeling of it being right, with minghao i never felt that, but since i started suspecting you, i noticed there was something different" he admitted "did- did you feel that for me too?" he asked

wonwoo let a little smile escape his lips "i had a huge crush on you before even knowing you were my soulmate" he blushed

mingyu was impressed "really? you knew about my existence before i gave you the mark?"

"of course i did, you're the nicest guy in school and i found that extremely attractive, plus, your visuals aren't that bad" he blushed even harder

the taller giggled "that's cute, you were really nice to me the day i gave you the mark even though i had no idea who you were" he said making them both giggled and then mingyu's smile faded away slightly "why did you stop being nice?" he asked sadly

wonwoo looked down "i didn't want you to know, for the first three months i used makeup to cover my mark up so you wouldn't notice it and suspect something, plus, it made me insecure, i really didn't think it fit me" he said sadly

mingyu scoffed "as if something could ruin your face" he said confidently "it's not because i'm your soulmate, but your face must be one of the universe's best works, it's just facts"

wonwoo once again blushed "you're just saying that because you feel like it's your job as my soulmate to make me feel better"

"why would i lie to you? you're attractive, no one can deny that" the taller said and gave him his glasses back

"i bet not even you believed that" wonwoo scoffed "just admit i'm quite below average, it's not a big deal"

mingyu furrowed his eyebrows "i can't believe you think that about yourself" he said "don't say negative things about yourself, that's my soulmate you're disrespecting" he joked

"okay, okay" wonwoo giggled

"in fact, i'll tell you a compliment everyday until you realize how precious you are" the taller said

"you really don't have to, it's not going to w-" the older was cut off by mingyu

"funny, i wasn't asking" he joked

wonwoo giggled and changed the subject "you know something? minghao always pushed junhui away because he was afraid of touching him"

mingyu looked at him confusedly "afraid of touching him? what does that mean?" he asked

"well, he wasn't afraid of touching him, he was afraid that after he touched him, a mark wouldn't appear on junhui's skin" wonwoo explained "he also rejected him out of fear because he didn't want to fall in love if they weren't soulmates because it would be very painful"

"oh" mingyu said "that must've been painful, restricting yourself to love"

"tell me about it" wonwoo chuckled sadly "i wouldn't recommend it" he joked and put on his glasses "he never actually admitted it because he's too proud, but he's a real talker when he's drunk"

mingyu giggled "i wish you were a talker, i still don't know why you didn't want me to know" he said

"i'm sorry, but i kind of don't want to tell you here" wonwoo said "i'm done with lying and hiding stuff, so, what if we go out on a date and i can explain everything?" he asked shyly

"i would love that" mingyu said happily
