wonwoo giggled and got the courage to hug him "i know, it's okay, you're okay" he reassured and continued hugging mingyu as the younger tried to control his breathing

"you- you're okay with it? i mean we could make it work, right? it might be difficult for you but i think i can- i mean if you want me to- i can help or i don't know, just-"

the older interrupted him "hey, don't be scared, we're soulmates and i would never make you do anything you don't want to do, plus, it would be weird if i wanted to have sex considering i'm asexual too" wonwoo smiled at his confession

mingyu broke the hug and looked at him in shock "are you serious?" he asked feeling euphoria travel all over his body

the older just nodded proudly and started walking beside him again "i realized some time ago"

"i'm- i'm so happy" mingyu smiled and started walking too while catching up with the older "what are the odds we're both asexual?" he asked

"minghao asked me the same thing but i told him it actually makes a lot of sense since we're soulmates" wonwoo explained

the taller raised his eyebrows "i guess you're right, i just never imagined it, i like to expect the worse so i'm prepared for everything" he said

"well, guess what? with me, you don't have to anymore, we're soulmates and nothing can change that" wonwoo said with a blissful smile

"hey, we can't be sure about that, what if my soulmate asked you to pretend to be him because he needs more time?" he joked

the other snorted and playfully pushed him while laughing "you meanie" he pouted

"you know i'm kidding" mingyu laughed too and then after a few seconds they both stayed quiet making the taller scratch the back of his neck nervously "wonwoo, are you going to tell me the answer to my main question?" he asked

the older sighed and stared at the ground while puffing his cheeks "okay, you deserve to know this" he said and avoided eye contact "as you know, i've always had a crush on you, but also always knew that you were way out of my league because- well, look at me" he said making mingyu furrow his eyebrows

"the only thing i can notice when i look at you is that you're painfully stunning" he said seriously

"okay, let me start over, you're amazing and i've always acknowledged that, the problem started when you gave me the mark because i always considered you an unreachable crush and i'm just me, you know? it- i- i'm sorry" he stuttered and felt a familiar knot in his throat

before he could continue, mingyu stopped walking and grabbed both of his quivering cold hands with his tender ones making him stop walking too

"it's okay, you don't need to continue, i'm not that desperate for answers anymore" the taller said "i don't want to know if you're not ready, in fact, what i want to do right now doesn't involve speaking" he said nervously

wonwoo felt any need to cry fade away when the other grabbed his hands tighter and then, he raised an eyebrow at the last thing he had said

"i know it's probably really soon for this, but i want to- can i just- i really-" mingyu stuttered and then looked straight into his eyes "i want to feel your lips on mine"

wonwoo had to be dreaming or dead, his soulmate/crush wanted to kiss him, it couldn't be real, what he had imagined for so long was finally happening "i- you- if you want then i- you-" he lost the ability to speak so he just nodded quickly in anticipation

"close your eyes if you're nervous" the taller said even though he was probably as nervous as him

the older did as he was told and mingyu had to smile at his cuteness, he found him extremely pure, making him feel the need to protect him, so he gently cupped his face with his hands and with his thumb caressed his cheek

as if he was scared of hurting him, he leaned in slowly and closed his eyes feeling his whole world stop

their lips touched each other for the first time and it felt so much better than wonwoo could've ever imagined, he was walking on air

it felt like the most gentle thing ever, he could not only feel it in his lips, he felt that amazing sensation travel all his body, so he took a deep breath and enjoyed the feeling of something beautiful and powerful growing inside both of them

they were so delighted, they didn't know for how much time their lips had been pressed together in a soft peck, but it felt like forever and a second at the same time
