weeks passed and mingyu sighed in relief before smiling victoriously the second he walked out of his last class

he went straight to his house to pack, the winter trip was always the day after their last day of school before the official winter break started

he started off by packing his best outfit which he would wear the day for the trip and then put in the bag some pajamas

the trip consisted in a day where they left since early morning to arrive at the place before noon, they spent all afternoon playing and hanging out with their friends until it was dark and then went back to the hotel to get some sleep or stay awake all night talking

the next morning, they usually participated in activities where all the students would play whatever game they wanted before leaving

so he took a out the outfit he would wear on the first day, put the pajamas in his bag, and an extra outfit for the day after

he was very excited because nothing could go wrong anymore, now that he had finished the stressful period in school, it was his time to relax

he was checking in his bag if he had missed anything when he got a call from his friend's group chat

"are you packing up your bags yet?" seungkwan asked making them all chuckle

"i actually just finished" mingyu said and showed his bag to the camera, his bag was quite small because he didn't like to carry too much stuff

"well, don't you guys worry, i already packed a lot of snacks so we can eat all the way to the place" seungkwan said

"love, it's only a four hour drive" hansol chuckled making seungkwan scoff

"that doesn't mean we can't eat, i won't let you guys have fun with an empty stomach" he said

"okay dad" seungcheol joked making them all start laughing

they kept talking about their expectations for the trip for about an hour until they ended the call

he stayed all afternoon checking his bag and using his phone until he lied down on his bed and added a new alarm at 5:00 am since the buses always left at 6:00 am

he closed his eyes with a smile full of anticipation in his face and then imagined how the trip would go without realizing when he fell asleep
