Aurora's POV - The Next Morning
I woke up with a light shinning in my eyes. I was blinded, and rolled over to shield my face. A hand reached down and held my mouth shut. My eyes adjusted to the darkness and I glared at the man holding my mouth shut.
It was one of Violetta's assassins. He wore a gas mask and within seconds I noticed my eyes burning. The assassin held a finger up, "Shhh. I will remove my hand, and put a gas mask on you. Do not make a sound, and do not breathe."
I nodded and shut my eyes. I felt his hand come off my mouth and a gas mask got strapped around my head.
I opened my eyes and took a deep breath. The asassin nodded and pointed at the stairs that led to the roof, "We are here to save you, Aurora."
"What? I don't need saving. What the fuck is going on, how did you find me?"
"How we found you is not important. Violetta wishes to speak to you. The room is filled with a colorless sleep toxin. Everyone in this room will awake as usual, however, you will not be here. Vera Ruiz sleeps in this room as well, do you wish to save her as well?"
"No. Leave her here. These are her friends. Just take me to Violetta."
The assassin led me to the roof, where four more assassins stood. The moon wasn't visible, but it was still dark out, so it must've been around four in the morning. It was very cold outside, and very silent.
I heard a vwoosh and a hovercraft flew over and landed on the roof. The door slid open and the assassins pointed at the chairs inside. I took a seat and the door shut. The cockpit door opened and Violetta walked out. She sat in the seat across from me and smiled, "Welcome back."
I pulled the gas mask off, "Thank you for having me back. What's this about?"
She held up a finger, "Hold on. Vera was in that building. Why didn't you bring her too?"
"She just recently found her friends and boyfriend. They were in that room too. I didn't want to separate her from them again."
My answer looked like it satisfied Violetta, "And the other members of your group? Dead, I assume?"
"Yeah. Tux was killed by Fynn and his group of assholes. Renee and Cyan were killed by some guy yesterday."
"Just some guy? What'd he look like?" She leaned forward, intrigued.
"This tall, bald black guy. He was stronger than anyone I'd ever seen."
Violetta looked surprised, "Oh fuck. How did he kill them?"
I had to remember that horrible scene, "He broke Cyan's spine and slit Renee's throat."
Violetta stood, and looked very concerned, "Chance. His name is Chance. Or at least that's what name survivors gave him, because it was pure chance and luck that he didn't kill them too."
I sat up and raised an eyebrow, "You know him?"
She shook her head, "Not personally. I've heard the stories. People say that's he's a demon. I don't believe that shit. He's just some psycho that kills everyone he finds. But I hadn't heard of him in years. I just assumed he was dead, but fuck, I guess he's still out there. But at least you're back with me, Vera though...hope she can handle herself with him. But I wanted to talk to you about shit. Lightstone in particular. My assassins took Aaron's body to Lightstone and went on a little killing spree while there. The High Judge and his wife were killed. The Queen of Lightstone, Queen Linae, she was also killed. Of course, a handful of guards and civilians were killed too. But that kingdom is weak now. That corrupt King is the only one with any power there now that his daughter is missing..."
