Rain's POV
The hovercraft vibrated as we flew through the air. Bryn sat to my left, holding my hand. The two soldiers from Elder's Peak sat across from us. The woman was cleaning her glasses and the man was rolling a piece of gold across his knuckles.
The woman put her glasses back on, "So, you two have names?"
Bryn looked at me, "That's Rain. I'm Bryn."
The woman nodded, "I'm Lisa. This is Joey. Our pilot is Leo.
Joey nodded. Leo called out from the cockpit, "We'll be at Elder's Peak in a few minutes."
Lisa stood and stood in front of the window, "It's been a while since we've been this far north. Where are you from?"
Bryn answered with an annoyed tone in her voice, "Lightstone."
I leaned forward, "Why were you so far north? What made you go up there?"
Joey folded a leg over his lap, "We found a guy that came from the north. He told us that New Rome fell. We were looking for survivors. Plus, we saw the smoke."
"A guy? Who?"
Lisa sat down again, "Marc something. Weird kid. He's really quiet and has white hair. It took a day to get info out of him."
Bryn and I looked at each other. I felt my body tense up, "Marc's alive!?"
Joey looked surprised, "Woah! You know him?"
I nodded, "He traveled with us for a while. He was with us at New Rome when it fell. I...we, thought he was dead."
We remained silent the rest of the flight.
The hovercraft vibrated and Leo called out from the cockpit, "We're here. Welcome to Elder's Peak."
The door slid open and Lisa and Joey stepped out. We followed them. It was cold outside here. Colder than it was in the forest we were in. The kingdom was small. We were standing on a platform next to the castle. The castle was only two floors tall and wasn't very long. The kingdom itself only had a few small buildings and no wall surround it.
Bryn looked at the castle, "Is anyone named Historia or Anessa here?"
Lisa looked over her shoulder, "That's a specific question. You didn't even ask about your friend Marc."
"Because I want to know about Historia and Anessa."
Joey turned and walked towards the castle, "Well, c'mon. I'll take you to them. They're in the castle."
We walked into the castle and it was surprisingly underwhelming. There were only a few paintings on the wall and a small chandelier hung from the ceiling. A woman with short, blonde hair stood next to a woman with sandy blonde hair sitting in a throne.
The short haired woman walked over to us, "New people? Welcome."
Bryn smiled, "Are you Anessa?"
The woman looked surprised, "Oh, yes I am. How do you know me?"
"Ariana sent us. She told us we could find you here, and be safe."
"Ariana?" The woman looked dumbfounded. She shook her head, "I...she...wow."
Anessa smiled and laughed, "Wow. I didn't think she was still out there."
I looked at Anessa's face. She had the same features as Aurora. "You're her sister, aren't you?"
Anessa nodded, "Her little sister, yes. She's four years older than me. She left when she was about 16. You met her? Where was she? Is she ok?"
I nodded, "She's fine. We met her a few months ago. She's the ruler of Hub. She was co-leader of the fiends, but when Violetta died, she took control, and changed everything for the better."
