Hot, bubbling lava at the bottom and midway up the inside was an entrance to a cave. " That's where the sound must be coming from". Malik turned around and said "where's Jeffrey". All of a sudden they hear him barking on the other side of the volcano, Malik tells James and Nathaniel that he must have found a way in and to follow him. The 3 men followed Jeffrey into a cracked opening that led to a long tunnel, it was very strange, as it felt it was made by a man, once they reached the end of the tunnel, it began getting very hot. The crushing sounds were getting louder and louder. They all got their swords out and James got out his bow as he was a perfect marksman, Once out of the tunnel they were sweating and looked around to see a rocks everywhere, "This must be the dragon lair were looking for", BANG!!! a huge rock broke off the roof and began flying towards them. The 3 men jumped out of the way feeling the heat from the ground on the palms of their hands. Malik yelled, "Jeffrey go back to the tunnel". They all turned to see where the rock came from.

"DAMOS!!!" Yelled Malik " what are you doing!?" " I knew you were coming, your brother said you'd be looking for the stones, If you want it come and get it", said Damos.

Malik was dumbstruck that his own soldiers were doing this, He had no choice, they had to fight. " James go left, Nathaniel go right and attack on my command, Malik ran straight at Damos with his sword on one hand and shield in the other, When he got to Damos he saw him lunge with his fist in a red hot color, that's when Malik realized, eye widened and said "Oh shit", he raised his shield up and received a blow to the shield so hard that it sent Malik flying, so far he almost fell into the lava as his back was facing towards the entrance, he knew that that was no ordinary punch, Nathaniel yelled, " He's using the ruby stone!" " You don't think I felt that!!!" said Malik, James fired an arrow right into Damos's Back piercing him, Malik, making him FURIOUS, he grabbed one of many boulders and began, pelting them at James and Nathaniel, they were both mercilessly dodging them by inches. Malik knew he had to do something, he thought of a way to stop him but it would be risky, He shot his grappling hook up and over the top of the volcano and made sure it was secure and strapped himself in. He yelled at the top of his lungs, " HEY DAMOS, you angry bitch come and get me". Damos turned towards the entrance and saw Malik, he sprinted fast and hard and swung a massive punch and sent Malik flying towards the pit of lava, the grappling hook got yanked swinging Malik up and over the edge of the volcano, on his way up and over he yelled out "NOW!!!"

The two warriors dashed and jumped kicked Damos in the back sending him soaring down to the pit, all you could hear were his screams, Malik saw him falling in from the top and saw the lava rumbling and bubbling at an abnormal rate, he yelled " RUN ITS GONNA BLOW" the two men and Jeffrey sprinted out of the tunnel with immense speed, catching up with Malik and the horses on the other side, " Quick get on" The three men rode to a safe distance and saw smoke exiting the volcano and 2 minutes later a massive BOOM!!!, It erupted sending huge boulder-sized rocks flying, while they were watching this happen, James noticed a glowing red rock fly out landing in a river nearby it was Damos screaming, somehow still alive buried neck-deep in a hardened molten rock. Malik grabbed his sword and lunged it straight into the throat of Damos instantly killing,  all of a sudden a red hot ruby stone comes flying out of his mouth and Nathaniel catches it with the inside of his shield, he quickly put it inside a box made magically to hold the stones by the mage, SPLASH, a huge rock lands 5 feet from where they stood, " Guys we have to move", they got on their horses with Jeffrey behind, riding off to an open safe field, miles from the volcano. With the ruby safely in the box of stones.
