The Hunt for the Power Stones

Chapter 7- Journey to the 2nd Stone

"Guys what just happened," said Malik, James and Nathaniel were just as shocked, the 3 warriors stopped by the side of a beautiful lake to compose themselves and discuss future plans, " So I was right to assume servic would hide the stones in the same place he found them". "Yea and now we know his soldiers are using them to defend it," said Nathaniel "We have to be better prepared next time if we're going to get the next stone," said James. "nice moves back there by the way Sir, you freaked us out when Damos punched you into the volcano" " Thank you, I had to think of something and call me Malik, no need for formalities out here, were brothers of war now". 

Malik reached into his bag and grabbed a map and the book of stones, Nathaniel grabbed the box of stones with the ruby inside, "well we got 1, that a good start"  said James. Malik opened the book and read the mages notes, the book stated that the stones should not be touched by skin, as it will be absorbed into the holder granting it the power of the stone, " that's why the mage made the box" said James. " So where to next Malik" said Nathaniel, " To the Crystal cave over by mount Jessepi, that's where the Diamond stone will be, Just like the ruby stone was in the volcano. " we better get a move on then," said James. Several hours later of traveling the sun began coming down, the men were exhausted from their fight and needed rest. Nathaniel spotted a clearing with lots of space to sleep under the stars, Jeffrey cuddled up with Malik as the 2 fell asleep to prepare for the next challenge.

The 3 men awake from the array of sun upon their face and suited up and began traveling in the direction they needed to go. Malik was still sore from the 2 blows he received from Damos, The men were 2 days ride from the crystal cave, and getting hungry. James pulled out his bow and began hunting for prey, he spots a deer a few feet away and nails a shot through the head, the 3 of them cooked the deer over a fire and ate to their heart's content. Malik made sure Jeffery had plenty to eat and kept enough food for the road. Along the way they encountered an obstacle that would slow them down. An angry bear the size of 3 people roared in distress after seeing the travelers, He began rushing towards them, Malik yelled out " split up " Malik got off his horse and ran on foot to get the bear to chase him, he ran up a tree closely followed by the bear all while James fired an arrow and hit the bear. The bear turned around to see Nathaniel piercing his sword through the bear's chest, without giving it a chance to retaliate, he fell to the ground flat on his face. Another busy day of traveling and killing a bear along the way, the 3 men rested up as the next morning would be the day they get the Diamond Stone.
