Chapter - 29 Gruesome Healing

Soon after killing Sergas, The Purple Alexandrite stone quickly fell out of his mouth and onto the blood-soaked floor. Nathaniel ran up to the body and carefully grabbed the stone and into his pocket. James had heard that Malik got hurt badly and was in need of the cure. " Gabriel and James, we don't have much time, you need to gather as much of the blood as possible from the body before it's all gone," said Malik. The 2 men had brought some jars from the village and began doing something they never thought they would ever do they unhooked the body from the wall and hanged him upside down to allow as much blood to drain into the jars they had. After a couple of minutes, the 5 jars they brought were full and they knew what was needed to be done. Gabriel gave a jar to Malik and James gave a jar to Nathaniel, the 2 men took a big gulp and instantly began feeling better, they both felt strong and energized, then BARF, they both threw up and all the toxins and parasites had left their body. They were cured from all cuts and wounds and were glad it was over. 

"We have to get back to the village, the people don't have much left in them," said Gabriel "you're right, let's go," said James. They all picked up their weapons and looked back at their fallen once friend now foe of a corpse and left the cave. All the glowing thorns were slowly sinking down into the earth and disintegrating. " I guess when the stone holder dies, his control over the thorns does too," said Nathaniel. They arrived at their horses to see Jeffrey patiently sitting by the horses, Nathaniel grabbed the stone and carefully slit it into the box of stones. He stopped to look at the stones and with a smile he said " Guy's were halfway there, 5 more stones down 5 to go" The crew smiled and began their hike back to the village with haste, they could see broken trees and huge thorns and quills all over the swamp slowly disappearing, "Sergas's history is just history, that poisonous man is no longer going to hurt anyone else" said Gabriel. "Damn, right he isn't," said Nathaniel. " Were almost there " said Malik as they all could see the broken down village and gloomy-looking people. They were all crying and devastated by seeing all the dead. Malik jumped off his horse and picked up the 5 jars of blood while, James, Nathaniel, and Gabriel gathered all the people that we're alive and they all received a spoonful of the blood to heal their wounds and gain their strength. The leader of the village had mixed emotions, he was delighted that all the sick were healed but devastated that most of the children had perished.

"Wait, Gabriel, what spell was your mother teaching you before she died." said Malik "How to bring back the dead, but I couldn't do it, only my mother had the power to do that and they could only be dead for 1-2 days," said Gabriel "These people have only been dead for 1-2 days though," said James " Yes, your right but I still don't have that power, She was teaching me so that one day, when I got the strength I could perform such a spell," said Gabriel. "Well, we do have a box of the most powerful stones in history and we still have 2 Jars of the -all-healing- blood," said Nathaniel.
