Chapter 62 - Back on track to Lake Mareotis

Malik and his friends had turned around and began heading back to their horses, "I have a feeling we'll see them real soon "said James. Nathaniel nodded and said " We need 1 more stone, we know who has it, where it is and what it does" " and now we actually have a way of getting over the lake" replied Malik, "My Mother's teleportation amulet," said Gabriel. Jeffrey had barked and ran up ahead to the horses and sat waiting by Malik's horse. Once they arrived, they all untied their horses and galloped back to James's hometown. The Moment they reached James's Home; they all had a massive meal to prepare for their long journey back to Lake Mareotis. The Horses got plenty to eat and drink, Nathaniel stocked up on food and sheets of cloth to sleep on. James had paid the Inn worker for 1 more night for our heroes to sleep before they are off.

The Sun had settled, and it was time to get some shut-eye, Malik and his friends had a quick dip in a small water hole and headed straight for bed afterward.

The Next morning Malik was the first one to wake up, he got dressed and felt a rush of excitement at the thought of him soon to be strong enough to take down Servic. Malik Rushed off to the horse's stables and saw how big and strong they had gotten from all the riding, it was a clear size difference compared to the other horses, Columbus's horses are trained to travel across harsh conditions and rough terrain. After several minutes of Malik brushing the horses, Nathaniel came up from behind and said "Morning Malik "Hey Nathaniel, how's the gem box feeling?", "Nice and heavy" he replied, So hopefully the rest wake up soon, we gotta get going before Servic returns and finds out we were here." Said Malik. Nathaniel packed his things onto his horse and so did Malik, when they finished Gabriel and James came out looking delightfully rested, "how was that sleep" said Malik, "we almost left without you haha" chuckled Nathaniel. "Ha Ha, Nathaniel making a joke, that's a first" replied sarcastically James. Once our heroes were all packed and ready to go, they had their final mean and said their final goodbyes to James's Family, and just like that they were on their way.

Prior to them leaving the village, James had made a decision, considering he was the map man, there were 2 routes to be taken, the long way but safer or a more direct route but they would be passing through a mysteriously mystical location where all banished creatures were sent. This place was called the whispering woods and that's just where our heroes were heading.

It all started very peacefully at the beginning, our heroes were just trying to get comfortable as they had a long way to go, if they key going along the route James had mapped out, they would arrive in just under 2 days ride max. But what they did not know was that Servic had had his crack at his brother and needed back up. Morpheus was still confused at how his father was alive and wanted revenge, Servic wanted to get a 1 up on Malik so bad, but for his plan to work he needs 1 thing time.

Servic needed our heroes to slow down, he knew almost all his friends were dead leaving Just Adeline alive the Amethyst stone holder, Servic headed back to get his plan underway, Morpheus stayed behind to help Adeline, both of them were going to do their absolute best to slow our heroes down. Servic wanted the pleasure of ripping their limbs off 1 by 1.
