Chapter - 25 Gabriel's History

"Are you kidding me?" said James " I have heard of this blood in the past, and now the only way to save Nathaniel is to either get the blood of the dragon or Sergas" said Malik. " And I know just where to look, the village that was attacked came from the Mangrove swamps," said Gabriel " Just like it said in the book," said James. " Then that's where we go next, We have 3 days of having Nathaniel in great health but after that, he will be back to his weak state so we have to get moving, Failure is not an option," said Malik. 

The 4 men and Jeffrey began walking back to their horses when they encountered the high cliff they jumped down from. "How do we get back up," said James " Here let me help," said Gabriel he began chanting once more and the crew began levitating up and over the cliff. " WOW, said Nathaniel, that was incredible " Gabriel was a little drained from the spell as raising 4 bodies and a dog up a cliff is tiring. Malik went towards the edge of the cliff and gathered the 3 grappling hooks they used to get down and began returning back towards the horses. 

Along the way Malik mentioned to Gabriel " So Gabriel tell us your story and a bit about yourself ". Well as you know I am a Sorcerer like my grandfather and mother, I come from a place called Zorka, Magic was strictly prohibited throughout the Kingdom. My mother was known as the most powerful Sorcerer to have ever existed. Her true identity was hidden as she would heal the sick and perform incredible spells to help her loyal friends she trusted. One day one of my mother's friends told another friend and word got spread that my Mother had magic. During that period of whispers she was teaching me a special spell to bring back the dead and I lost control..."

The 4 men arrived at the horses and Nathaniel and Gabriel shared a horse as he was grateful Gabriel had made him feel better even tho it was for a few days. They all began traveling south towards the Mangrove Swamps, "What happened next " said James  " Oh yea, so I lost control of my power causing a huge energy surge of power into the sky and knights and soldiers came rushing to the source, My Mother took the blame and the King had her hanged. The King had recently heard the rumors and whispers of the Magical Mother and Son and that's when I knew I had been exposed and had to run. I ran into the forests and that's where I met you 3. I have been practicing magic since I was a little boy, I am 17 now and I was on my way to meet my grandfather as before my Mother died she told me of a safe Kingdom called Columbus who accepted people from all corners of the earth. But now their both gone and I don't know what to do. But I'm glad I met you guys, I am happy to join you and get Justice for my Grandfather and your King and Queen.
