The Hunt for the Power Stones

Chapter 9- Rest, Recover & Refocus

 The 3 men were pleased with themselves, Nathaniel was really sore from getting knocked out. James and Malik suggested to his friend to rest and recover. Malik had taken out the leftover meat to celebrate their victory. The happiness was short-lived as Malik remembered his parents and that they were suffering. When Nathaniel had recovered, Malik told his men that they had to get a move on, the weather began to rain very fiercely causing Malik to yell: We should find a place to settle down and wait till the rain passes!". James had seen an entrance to a cave up ahead, "Follow me!!!" They rode off into this dark cave and finally feeling the relief of being out of that storm. Nathaniel had made a fire, to make some light and keep them warm. They hung their clothes to dry over some rope. Two hours later once their clothes were dry and the rain had stopped it was time to plan where to go and what stone was next. Malik had taken out the book of stones and read what follows. 

"On Servic's adventures he encountered a dragon that was known for his incredible speed and also for being the holder of the next stone on the list. The true location of where he lived was unknown for this dragon, as he moved so quick. He was seen mostly in the valley of death. Servic claimed he had to wait patiently for the perfect time to strike." "What did they do to kill him said, James". "It says here they tried poisoning his food, but the dragon's metabolism must of been so fast the poison didn't affect him. They also tried throwing nets but they could never catch him. They only way they managed to kill him was to kill him in his sleep." "Where did they find him sleeping," said Nathaniel. "The mages notes stated that he slept at the highest point of the valley of death, where he could see for miles from any threat. The only time they could get to him was to travel to the top of where he slept during the night. Until one-day Servic got close enough to stroke. With his spear, he pierced the eye of the dragon and instantly killing him, as Servic had used the strength stone, he had enough power to throw it to the back of the head."
