Chapter - 33 Mysterious Lake Attack

Malik, James, Nathaniel and now Gabriel had finally left the village and the swamp, Gabriel was so delighted to know that he's sure he made his mother proud. The leader of the village had been so grateful to the men that he offered his very own horse for Gabriel to ride on as he noticed they only had 3. Malik, James, and Nathaniel had felt energized and equipped to travel to their next destination. Gabriel, on the other hand, was still tired and felt weak due to his excessive use of magic. He would definitely need a few days of magical rest before he was ready for a battle. 

Nathaniel was absolutely relieved that he was not going to die, he had felt a new sense of how valuable life can be. This near-death experience had given him a new perspective on life and friendship. He knew to himself he would not be alive if it wasn't for his friends and perceived that he would do anything for them also. 

Along the way down a path through some trees, Jeffrey could hear water and people, he barked and Jumped off Malik's horse and ran in the direction of the people. " Let's go " shouted Malik, the four horsemen followed Jeffrey through the trees. 2 minutes later they had arrived at a clearing and they saw a long wide lake with several people screaming and wailing for help. James and Malik jumped off their horses to help the civilians " Keep a lookout guys we don't know what's roaming around here " shouted Malik to Gabriel and Nathaniel. There were 3 women surrounding a man that was bleeding to death. " What happened here " demanded Malik, " I don't know, someone came out of the water and attacked us, Peter here defended us and got hurt in the fight, he managed to slice away at the man but he had no face, it was like he was made of the water itself, I know we sound crazy but you have to believe us," said one of the women.

" What!!!, A man, made of water? " replied James while trying to stop the bleeding. "Yes, we were just fishing by the lake and I guess it must of caught on the guy and he attacked us," said Peter. Malik and James looked at each other in confusion, they didn't know what to make of this information. What they did know was that this man was going to die. But thanks to James he had managed to stop the bleeding. " Take this man back to the village and meet us back here once you have delivered him to the village leader," said Malik to James. with the help of Nathaniel, they both lifted the injured man onto his horse and they rode off towards the swamps. 

" Did you hear what he said?" said Malik to Gabriel and Nathaniel, " Yea I heard it, but how is that possible?" said Gabriel. " Maybe it's one of Servic's men using a stone? " replied Nathaniel. Gabriel had assisted with giving the 3 women a verbal guide on how to get the village James was heading at and returned to join the 2 men who were about to do some research.
